This argument I respect.

Iowa State is not just unranked, but will lose to Kansas State and Oklahoma and finish their year at 6-6. They have an impressive 3 point win over Kansas (2-9). Other than a narrow win over Iowa, OSU is the only other FBS team with a winning record that they have defeated. OSU has forfeited any claim to play in the BCSNCG by losing to them. Just like Oklahoma forfeited its right to play in it after losing to Texas Tech.

The Jefferson/Ford option will expose those fat, slow Bama LBs on the turf in the superdome.

and, we didn't get raped by an unranked team for our one loss either...

Doesn't matter, you have already lost to the #1 team in the country. What would have helped you case is if you had played Georgia this year, you haven't. Then you could at least have the benefit of a head to head. You don't. You are wanting to get some preferential treatment because you are Bama. Do you think the BCS would want to install a situation that could lead to a 1-1 series tie? That is the reason the BCS was created, to keep shared championships from happeneing. So IF you beat them the second time all the sudden the first time doesn't count. C'mon Man...

Why does it matter? LSU could have the largest lead over second place team than ever recorded in history. Still will be 1 vs 2 in title game.

It matters because that is what will get Bama jumped by a one loss Okie State team.

Logic is still the same. You can't say it is OK in one case and not the other. UT lost the SEC championship because they had to play a team they had already beaten.

Wouldn't that be different since UT is in a completely different division? We don't play UT every year and happened to do so that year...UT happened to make it to SECCG that year. The NCG is completely different where LSU-Bama are concerned. Still, I'd welcome the opportunity to beat Bama again...this time by a much larger margin.

..seems really f-ed up that bama can walk away the winners of the bcs after we've already beat them...it simple risk vs. reward, they've got nothing to risk for all the reward..maybe I should keep it simple and leave a business prespective out of this..

I think Bama/LSU rematch is going to happen. Not saying I love Bama, but if it has to be this much controversy why not give it to them. We both in the same division in the same conference and it will help out recruiting for all int the west. Who else even compares to Bama/LSU?

the funny thing is, it's not alabama causing all of this controversy, it's the bcs system.

I want Bama...no one else is even remotely close. Bama would beat OSU by 21. Any LSU fan who doesnt want Bama in New Orleans to prove we are the best...maybe best ever...is a pussy.

Got a winner.

I bet the LSU team would say this fan has SWAG!

Gotta go with Les Miles and say I'd be honored to play Bama again if it should happen that way. It really is out of our hands so no need to worry with it. Either way I'm just excited with what my team has accomplished this year.

Yep, outside of of the two nasty's I really do not see anyone else in the FBS deserving. I believe if you put LSU and Bama in opposite brackets of a playoff we end up right back here.

All that and just one NC, SECC, SECWC. Talk about underachievers.

Posted this below on another forum
---------------------------------------------------------------
This Bama 2008 Senior Class has become the most winning class in SEC History
Bama's 2008 class has 46 wins(Only 5 loses) while having the opportunity for 48 wins total over a 4yr period(12 win avg)
(Maybe even 49 wins if they make the SEC title game)

Bama's 5th yr Senior class History below:
7-6 (Wasn't to great at all, but still never lost a game by more than 7 points)
12-2 (Lost to the #1 & #2 BCS teams)
14-0
10-3 (Lost to #1, #11, and #20 BCS teams)
10-1 (Lost to #1 BCS team)
That's 3 of 5 loses to #1 ranked BCS teams over a 4 yr period

You show me a better bunch of players that have been this consistently good their whole careers in the SEC. If there are some, they're Champions.
Only time these Bama players have lost is when playing highly ranked football teams across-the-field. They've beaten some darn good football teams across this stench too. I could list them, but Bama's list of good wins over this time would be longer than Bama loss list. If recently those teams(Oregon, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma St) didn't laid a bigger eggs than what Bama did with LSU. I wouldn't even fight for Bama going to the BCS title game, but the thing is. They all did lay HUGE eggs. If Bama beats Auburn today, they'll more than shown they deserve it. These guys have beaten alot of good teams over this stretch

Now, now...........
Championships are hard to come by in normal situations.
The fact Bama has done all that during one of the best stretches(5 straight BCS tiles) in conference history. Makes it even more impressive
