According to BCS rules the #2 team deserves a chance to play in the title game. Bama is #2.

And what Bamers don't realize is that the 13th game, the one LSU and Georgia will play, basically puts a huge seperation between #1&#2 to the point where Bama will be much more in line with #3-#6 than they will be to #1.

Get ready to party. N.O. Will be off the wall, much bigger than the Buckeye game. Look for the Tigers to play with a want. Eric Reid back, Bama will be in trouble.

The BCS IS a two team playoff. That's why it was created in the fist place.

OSU has not got a chance at LSU yet. I really don't see Bama's argument if OSU wins the Big 12.

Houston may win their Conf undefeated.

U would prolly rather play them.

C'mon, man-up and see if LSU can lay claim to best team ever in the history...

My point is that just because one team defeats another team in the regular season...doesnt mean those two teams dont deserve to play each other for the championship.

If you really think The 2 best teams in the country isnt LSU and Bama..then i feel sorry for you. I think you need help

How the teams get there is completely different though and invalidates these comparisons. OSU's better computer score means that people are just choosing Bama based on the perception that they have a better resume, even though that is contrary to the objective computer rankings. Should Bama get a shot over a conference champ with the same record?

They wouldn't have played their way into the game the way an NFL team would have

Why does it matter? LSU could have the largest lead over second place team than ever recorded in history. Still will be 1 vs 2 in title game.

they would be a conference champ, who did not play in an extra conference championship game. and, although, alabama will not be their conference champ, they will have played the same number of games, but without an embarrasing loss to an unranked team.

I want the 2nd best team. I want Bama...no one else is even remotely close. Bama would beat OSU by 21. Any LSU fan who doesnt want Bama in New Orleans to prove we are the best...maybe best ever...is a pussy.

Im done...

So it looks like a rematch is in order
Bama has the best chance out of anyone besides LSU of getting to the NC yeah OSU still has a possible shot but i think it is very unlikely the human vote will go to bama as long as they win tomorrow imo everyone knows they are the second best team in the country cant wait to beat them twice in one year
Agree. +1

Posted this below on another forum
---------------------------------------------------------------
This Bama 2008 Senior Class has become the most winning class in SEC History
Bama's 2008 class has 46 wins(Only 5 loses) while having the opportunity for 48 wins total over a 4yr period(12 win avg)
(Maybe even 49 wins if they make the SEC title game)

Bama's 5th yr Senior class History below:
7-6 (Wasn't to great at all, but still never lost a game by more than 7 points)
12-2 (Lost to the #1 & #2 BCS teams)
14-0
10-3 (Lost to #1, #11, and #20 BCS teams)
10-1 (Lost to #1 BCS team)
That's 3 of 5 loses to #1 ranked BCS teams over a 4 yr period

You show me a better bunch of players that have been this consistently good their whole careers in the SEC. If there are some, they're Champions.
Only time these Bama players have lost is when playing highly ranked football teams across-the-field. They've beaten some darn good football teams across this stench too. I could list them, but Bama's list of good wins over this time would be longer than Bama loss list. If recently those teams(Oregon, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma St) didn't laid a bigger eggs than what Bama did with LSU. I wouldn't even fight for Bama going to the BCS title game, but the thing is. They all did lay HUGE eggs. If Bama beats Auburn today, they'll more than shown they deserve it. These guys have beaten alot of good teams over this stretch
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Great teams don't lose to terrible teams
This Bama team deserves another shot

I just want to play a team we haven't played yet, even though Bama is clearly the second best team.
