Did he say that, or are you just making shite up and wanting to think that? What's the big deal with an Auburn fan pondering who they might have to play?

You’re not going to convince anyone that Auburn fans generally feel super confident about the iron bowl.

Does the same for me as a Clemson fan to see people assume it will be Miami

It’s a weird phenomenon I’ve yet to see from Alabama fans in basically the last decade. Some of them are actively trying to turn themselves into an underdog as a form of hedging their bets.

And I over heard one of the more intelligent ones say to another Auburn guy “I would rather play Miami than Oklahoma in the playoffs” then went into a in-depth reason why. I know, what team that still has a shot isn’t thinking about possibilities but he was speaking as if there is no way in hell Alabama can beat Auburn this year. I must say, his confidence turned me on a li

No problem with what he said. Not problem for you to chime in. We are fans. Why else follow the game if you don't dream big while you can?

It is not a big deal. I have heard some talk about it too. It is just amusing us at how fast the narrative in Auburn changes from the fans perspective. From fire Gus to going to beat Bama in about a month. Fans are fans, and Auburn is playing well, I get it. As long as the coaches and players don't look ahead, then I guess it really doesn't matter if the fans do.

My brother from another mother attended Auburn and I’ve been in all Auburn crowds plenty of times, really doesn’t bother me, especially the success we’ve had in the past decade, how can you possibly be upset over someone getting worked up over college football. Really can’t blame any school for losing their shite when opportunities like these pop up.

This was a post from me earlier in this thread. Completely agreeing with you.

2010, 2013, and a mostly healthy football team. Auburn fans can tell when they have the mojo working under Malzahn. For some reason it seems to bewilder opposing fans.

I would say imho that Auburn has the edge this year givin the home field, and our injuries. But underdog is a stretch.

I just got a half chub from his confidence and belief in y’all winning. Meaning I got excited and ready for the game.

I just said even if y’all win we could still see a rematch in the playoffs and if there was ever a year for it to happen it’d be this year. He got extra pale and then realized I was a bama fan

Wait a minute...you guys work together, in the same office, and he didn't know you were a bama fan? Really?

The first question I ask a candidate is if they are, or have ever been, a bama fan. If they say yes, I inform them that the interview is over...have a nice life. If they say no, I ask them if they're sure.

When did you become a bama fan??? Sorry, have to ask.

I do to, but I'm afraid that we're over matched this year.
Actually I believe that it's best in the long run to lose out on the championship and playoff games occasionally. Human nature pushes people to grow to expect such things when they're bestowed upon them on a regular basis....they begin to not mean much to the fans any more and that's not good. Achieving something is much more satisfying if you've failed to accomplish it in the past.

If you work with a big crew of Auburn fans maybe you can answer my question. Is it true the McRib is back?
