So at some point this season your team will be televised for the last time on CBS...

For some teams, that game may have already occurred. Gonna "pour one out" when Ole Miss is on CBS for the last time.

CBS just does it a gazillion times better than ABC/ESPN. Still mad at Sankey about this one.

He didn't take into account any intangible value CBS gives you. Like CBS is so good they can make Vandy look good on TV.

Not the same without Verne. And the games are still like 6 hours long.

I grew up with a Pavlovian response to that "DUHH Duhduhduh...dun-dun-dun duunnn" CBS intro. My whole life I've equated big time SEC football with that theme song and that network. I'm really going to miss them being the SEC station.

CBS screams "big-time' football... The other networks don't so much.

CBS has really helped increase the perception of the SEC. Hate we are losing it.

ABC/ESPN camera quality and production is 4th to me in how they do it.

1. CBS
2. NBC (see Notre Dame and SNF)
3. Fox
4. ABC/ESPN

I hope Sankey has something in contract where ABC has to hit a certain quality level. Too bad we signed with a broke company.

Brad Nessler is a great play by play guy.

I won't miss hearing Gary Danielson constantly saying, "In the Alabama game..." or "According to Nick Saban..."

I never understood the LSU hate for G Danielson.

I thought he was one of the best ever.

Gary's interview with Moscona a few weeks ago was really, really good. He had high praise for LSU

So true. 9,000 commercials for some new pharmaceutical drug and those stupid Fansville Dr. Pepper commercials.

You won't catch me getting misty over a television network, but I do miss some of the old time broadcasters. Curt Gowdy and Keith Jackson were great.

I get the games are too long when you are at the game being aired by CBS. But I don't care how long it is when I'm sitting on that couch at the house watching CBS>

Gary Danielson is the best in thge business, most people are simply idiots.

Alabama fans: "Gary is the worst! HE hates alabama! All he does is root for the other team, he's practially giddy any time someone scores on us. I can't even listen to him, I have to mute the games and listen to the radio!"

Every other team: "Gary is the worst! He fellates bama every chance he gets. He talks about alabama even in games they aren't playing! HE never misses a chance to bring them up unprompted whenever he can. he's the absolute worst!"

People simply get an idea in their head, probably originating from some shitty meme on facebook, then they take it as gospel and pretend like it's undeniable truth.

SEC leadership was so damn stupid to put all their eggs in the ESPN/ABC basket.

Glad some of y'all are finally waking up to that stupid arse move.

I suppose it's possible that an SEC team playing at a Big10 team could have the game televised on CBS. But for the most part, say goodbye to CBS.

I doubt State gets a CBS nod this year, the only game with a chance would be the Bama game, but that would require us to beat LSU, and even then they may still pick Auburn-Georgia or LSU-Ole Miss.

If State doesn’t get put on CBS this year, their final CBS game will have been the 2020 KJ Costello game in Baton Rouge. 623 yards. That game still amazes me on so many levels.

CBS barely promoted the SEC game of the Week. Production was great, announcers great, but way too long of a broadcast.

ABC's primetime game with Fowler and Kirk have great production values, probably the best in the business. The SEC will be getting this treatment.

I don't hate Gary for being a homer. I hate him for saying basic football stuff like he just made some scientific breakthrough discovery.

I also hate them because they never know what the reviews are about when everyone at home knows what the replay is about. Brad and Gary have no clue like 90% of the time. Then Gary is like, "oh I guess they were reviewing if his foot went out of bounds" 5 min later.

No I’m not.

Gottfried and Franklin were my favorites.

But danielson was able to diagnose Amari Cooper single coverages before LSUs defensive coordinators could.

I understand that they loved Alabama but what choice did they have. They had to call the game; and they did it well.
