He used to wear the Arkansas armband every game, maybe them bawz? Or would he go to Texas since Card and Thompson are both assy AF?

Or would he really wait there for 3 more years to get to play? Would his Dad even let him?

Not gonna lie, how Jimbo deals with this QB situation is going to be interesting to see.

Personally I think Calzada ends up losing his job to a healthy king in the spring or even late season.

I really respect calzada, the kid is tough as nails, but he just seems to be more a game manager than playmaker.

I support Calzada...but if I'm King I haven't seen anything to make me think I won't be on the field next year.

Calzada is also one play from being injured himself. He is tough as frick, but has been banged-up in several games.

Y'all would know better than me, but, that kid has been NAILS and he beat Bama. how can you bench him?

I'd take Calzada on the transfer market for the post KJ days. He's nice.

That's fair, but he reminds me of Brandon Allen. Hit him, hit him harder, kid still stands in there and lets the route develop and delivers as he's being hit as well as ANYBODY in the SEC.

I think he'll stay and win the starting job back in the Spring. King is special. At that point, Calzada will have a decision.

What is interesting about Calzada is that, because of the COVID year, he still have three years of eligibility after this one. He could easily stay next year, graduate, and still have two years of eligibility as a graduate student.

Calzada is a tough SOB. He's done a serviceable job for the most part. He stepped up to a crazy level but started off pretty dang bad. He's somewhere in the middle.

If King were healthy, I'd start him this week with a full week of practice with the 1s.

Weigman might just come in and start over both.

If anyone is going to transfer it likely won't come until next year. In that case it'll be Calzada.

Yeah the eligibility is what made me realize the situation. Calzada has resume, King has potential.

Jimbo has a huge decision to make and its not going to be easy

1. Calzada has the most experience, beat Bama, but likely the lowest ceiling

2. King has the second most experience but a high ceiling and some really nice wheels.

3. Weigman is considered to have the highest ceiling of the 3. It was considered a race between him and King before all the madness started

I think in the offseason King will go back to being the starter, but then the question comes down to Calzada (now experienced and proven toughness) and Weigman’s athleticism and potential. I sure as shite wouldn’t want to make that decision.

I think Calzada transfers. If Calzada is named the starter next season, I don’t see any way he holds on to his job.

If A&M wins out this season, I would have to believe that Calzada would be the "leader in the clubhouse" for starting QB next season. King would have to REALLY impress Jimbo to dethrone Calzada in the offseason, and that's because Jimbo values actual in-game experience above all else (most of the time).

Regarding Weigman, my guess is that he redshirts or becomes the backup if one of the other QBs transfers. The only way he starts over King and Calzada is if he is head and shoulders better than both as a true freshman, which is also a possibility.

Weigman looks great on tape….he would not look that great playing against our D in practice. I predict he red shirts and the job is Calzada’s next year unless king makes impossible amounts of improvements in the spring. I’m just not real sure what everyone saw in last years spring game and in Kent state that makes everyone think he is in such a different league than Calzada.

Not seeing Calzada improving much. He's still making bad decisions just not as many of them, but they are costly. He's thrown an int in occasionally every game, and is mostly in the mid to low 50s completion rate.

His only saving grace is he has a cannon for an arm and can air it out. Downside is he tries to throw 150mph on a no look bubble screen.
