As your other topic discussed, the committee didn't do much of anything.. they just used a BCS type of ratings system with some small adjustments..

Yep, and they'll do that again if SMU loses to Clemson in the title game.......while also somewhat trying to say that they don't want to punish teams for conference title games..........while teams have been punished for conference title games going back years and years

Bama.

SMU will get destroyed in the playoff no matter who they play.

Except they don't get that for the first 9 years because they basically paid the ACC to let them in for the first few years.

that's like the reverse Jimbo-Aggie deal

Yes, they are likely very pissed then.

SMU would have lost five or six games with Alabama schedule. BAMA.

Tell us how many wins against CFP ranked opponents each team has, then I'll tell you.

The only reason sport talk radio and assclowns like Booger McFarland are crying about SMU is because they know SMU has beaten no one, doesn't deserve a cfp spot and they know they're going to lose to an average at best Clemson team...

they just hate Alabama and go on rants about "the brand" and doing the "right thing."

Bama Derangement Syndrome is alive and well.

Nobody wants to see SMU fresh off a loss play @ ND.
I would watch it.

The committee will take who they want.

Looking at how they have ranked teams thus far, I think SMU makes it either way.

Alabama needs SMU to beat Clemson.

Then the committee gets Alabama at Notre Dame,
Georgia at Ohio State, and Penn State at Michigan as first round games.

SMU is a good football team, but at some point you have to prove it against top competition(or Clemson). Saturday night is their chance. If they blow it; they're out.
Tbh I'm not sure beating the Fightin' Dabos is quite the accomplishment it would be a few years ago. Klubnik is probably the worst QB they've had in a decade.

That said, I hope there is a clean sweep of new conference members winning their respective championship games.

So either you decide you will have better teams in the top 12, at which point it isn’t about 3 losses or even 4 at some point as their are 4 loss teams better than smu, and Alabama goes, or you go with the number of losses at which point you must acknowledge teams from weak conferences and who play no one go in as would SMU this year. It just depends on what the committee wants but they need to be clear about this and consistent for the future.
