No I’m saying he’s up for it because he’s playing just as good this year as he did last year when he finished 3rd.

The award is for the beat player not the most gaudy stats, or at least it’s supposed to be.

He's thrown more INTs in less than games than Trask and the same as Jones (in 4 less games). His QB Rating is worse than Jones. Less YPA than Jones. Same # of TDs per game as Jones, less than Trask. Lower QBR (which includes rushing) than Jones.

Even if you extrapolated his numbers out across the same number of games as Trask and Jones he would be behind them.

They're different players, which makes them together so insane. DeVonta is a technician with great body control. Waddle is a blur who can go 0-60 in about 2 seconds and makes contested catches.

Together they were as good as it got.
