I've seen your posts in many threads over the last week or two, that's a fact. I can dig them up for you if you'd like to be embarrassed.

Please don't dig up the Cam/Hootie arrest and the Monroe DA threads. We don't need anymore RB10 torture. TIA

Have we had one of those in the last few weeks? How did I miss it?

Agreed. Hard to justify a 3 year degree while being a full time college football player.

take 12 hours in the fall and load up in the spring and summer. it happens more than you think. you can easily take a semester's worth of classes in the summer if you take 6 hours both sessions. did it myself my last year of college

Exactly! It is not difficult to achieve if you are a self motivated individual with a goal that you want to reach.

All evidence shows that Maurice Smith is/was such an individual since he will receive his degree on Saturday. He worked hard in the classroom and on the field and he stayed out of trouble. I wish him the best in his future endeavors.

ok? what does that have to do with him graduating? he transfers prior to graduation, he's probably not going to have all of his credits transfer. it also takes away his possibility of playing immediately upon transfer anywhere as a graduate transfer. i'll say this again, please think before showing your arse. and as a reminder, this is all in reference to someone having an issue with his waiting until after spring practice to notify coaches of his intent to transfer

I just hope recruits for '17 and beyond are paying attention.

I'm sure they are and I'm sure Saban will speak to them personally to tell his side of this thing - something he'll likely not do in the press.

I'm also sure those recruits were paying attention when, as I've seen several put it he "had Cam's back" saying he didn't care what was said about him (Saban) but that he wasn't going to punish the kid in the media.

I'm sure recruits paid attention when LSU had a kid enroll only to later find out that he didn't have a scholarship any longer (that looked back publicly, but I'm sure it didn't hurt LSU's recruiting one bit).

He's been a college coach for 21 seasons. How many times has a recruit "let all his secrets out"? I'll wait.

Also, how did you feel about the HBO 4 "letting out secrets"? Did you believe them, or did you assume they were disgruntled and angry and discount their claims? Don't you think that's what would happen if some recruit did what you are hoping will happen?

Well players, their families, coaches, and boosters have several times just while he's been at Bama. It will only take one person that wont hush and just let Emmert sweep it under the rug, to bring all the rest back out. That's alot different than a bunch of people that like Bama slipping up and telling on him.

Let's look at his options.

A) stay on full scholarship at Alabama, have a starting spot, graduate in 3 years and pursue a graduate degree

B) transfer from Alabama after his junior year was complete (in the spring), go to any school he'd like, have to sit out one year while he pursues a graduate degree

C) graduate from Alabama, transfer to any school he would like to, only have to sit out if he chooses one of 17 total schools, and pursue a graduate degree

Those seem like three totally reasonable and favorable options. And they are the same options available to almost anyone in his position. He decided that that isn't good enough for him.

I don't understand why LSU fans are so bent out of shape about this.

I'm not bent out of shape about anything. I was responding to a poster that had an issue with him waiting until after spring practice to announce his intentions to transfer. i provided a logical explanation as to why he probably waited. Had he he transferred prior, he would have also postponed his graduation as well as not being able to transfer and play immediately anywhere. Of course he was looking out for himself, as do we all.

Throwing his stuff in the trash is a bit too much, but totally blackballing him from the team and facilities is 100% ok and probably correct.
