I just think it's gaudy and draws attention to how awful the rest of the stadium is. That money would have been better suited going towards cleaning the stadium up, pressure washing the stands, etc.

Does AU show live footage from other games during timeouts? I've seen that at a few other SEC stadiums.
Bryant-Denny seems to be determined to keep the fans in a black hole that's void of information from the outside world. No stats, out of date scores, etc.

Auburn does I think. Hell, Tulane showed updates from the South Carolina v. Missouri game last fall

I don't know what that has to do with the rest of your post or the OP unless it's just stream of consciousness unprovoked UGA hatred. I could appreciate that if so.

All 82,000 people will be able to see it!

The Jags have the largest video screens in all of sports. Sadly, it still doesn't make our team any better.

quote:Who's got Jacobs hands tied on the plans for renovations? Seems like it's been in the "planning stage" for years now and Jay just sent them all back to the drawingboard to basically start over.
This is the only the beginning of a lot of renovations Auburn is planning. Also planning a 150 million dollar renovation to Jordan Hare, a new football only complex, a new sports medicine facility, an expansion of the baseball stadium, and either an expansion of the current softball stadium or a completely new one. All this stuff is supposed to be done sometime in the next 5 years

That'll be sick. When is that gonna be built?
ETA: Nevermind, I looked it up. At the earliest 2017. The Jags still got another year lol. C'mon man just let me proud of the one thing we do have. Well we have pools and a cabana deck too.

It might be 10 or 15 years down the road, but I think Jordan Hare will eventually be expanded again just based on the future population forecast of the area.
I have read that people who predict such things think Auburn's population will be around 90k by 2030 and Lee County's population will be around 240 thousand by then. This will make the county larger than Tuscaloosa County in terms of population

I agree with many that a screen that large can be distracting. At Titans games I sometimes forget to look at the field.
However, I also understand that stadiums are having to compete with giant HD TVs in everyone's houses that show just about every game played.
