Since the Saban to the Browns rumors aren’t dying down

let’s have a civilized discussion for a change.
What kind of success is Saban capable of having in the NFL?
Most people assume he can’t cut it in the pros due to his past “failure” there but I am not so sure. First off his stint with the Dolphins wasn’t quite as bad as people make it out to be. And if not for bad luck with the whole Drew Brees medical staff issue it could have been much different.
Plus he and Belichick are cut from the same cloth personality wise, so his type of personality style can work well in the NFL.
And also Saban may be a lot of things but he is not stubborn or afraid of change. Look how Alabama’s offense has adapted over the years. So I think he would learn from the mistakes he made the first time in the NFL and correct them.

Don't be stupid, Saban isn't going to the Browns.
Ohio State is a much better fit for him.

Like Spurrier, great college coach but not good enough for the pro's!

Alabama pays him more then all but 5 NFL head coaches make. He ain't going any where.

Honestly His problem in the NFL from my prospective is Saban is God when it comes to recruiting. NFL is more of a business and you are having to "Hire" employees and you have to do all that under a GM. Just my opinion.

Forget the Brees stuff.
Saban wasn't bad at all in the NFL.
It's a manufactured narrative to try to bring him down because everyone knows he's the GOAT college coach and one of the best all around coaches of all time.

You have to work with the pieces you have. You don't have the luxury of being three deep at every position.

Saban's mistake was taking the Dolphins job. That roster was rubbish to begin with outside of JT and his bro-in-law. Saban with that Chargers team would've won games.

Even the coaches who are great recruiters don't actually LIKE recruiting.
He may never admit it, but Saban most likely DOES want to prove to himself and everyone else that he CAN be the best coach in all of football. Not just college.
If some NFL team offered him enough money, he would leave.
But he would be an idiot to go coach the Browns. Hell, at one point both he AND Bellichick were there and they still couldn't win shite.

The only way Saban leaves is if Bama is about to get hit with a bunch of violations.

I agree with you on this. He wasn’t that bad his first time in the NFL and you know he learned from his mistakes. I think people will be very surprised how much success he has when he gets his second chance.

You greatly underestimate the power of the REC, Saban would never betray them. Their power goes way beyond the SEC offices and refs.
Be a shame if he went to Cleveland and fell up the stairs.

why would they hire Saban instead of Williams? Didn't Saban go to Williams when Saban didn't know how to stop LSU? They basically have Saban's tutor/mentor.
