I wouldn't go that far. He wanted to be an on-field coach for years. Kirby and he are very close friends and Kirby had a spot open for him.

Bama fans have some kind of weird complex towards UGa, almost like they feel threatened by us but the on field results don't bare that out. It'd be like if after 14 years as our esteemed OC, mike bobo left us for LSU, a team that we have no rivalry/history/beef with. Then we beat them every time we faced them. Like..there's really nothing for bama to be so obssessed with us about other than the fact that we MIGHT have the potential to be better htan them soon. Which is a silly thing to obssess over.

Who says he is doing that? Our defense is different from Alabama's. Our offense is and will be different from Alabama's. I think in the beginning, Kirby was probably taking a lot from Alabama, but not so much anymore. I do think he wants to get the best personnel he can. Cochran is considered one of the best.

So they will try and cripple their star quarterback by playing him two weeks after a surgery that he really didn’t need and would have healed completely on it”s own?
Then they try and run that fragile and injured quarterback the next game and really do get him crippled, at least severely injured if you think crippled is too politically incorrect.

Cochran was a big piece of Bama’s winning program & now he’s gone. It means something more than just a S&C coach leaving. Writing’s on the wall. Saban near 70 yrs old. Enjoy him while you can Bama. Tick-tock.
