There are Catholics in Mississippi...but northeast Mississippi is a whole lot of Pentecostals.

I wonder why Cooper's daughter attended Catholic school. I mean, I haven't lost sleep wondering about it, but was just curious. Perhaps Cooper's wife is Catholic.

The oldest child, daughter May, played volleyball at Academy of the Sacred Heart (a private all-girls Catholic high school)
if it's important (it isn't) I was reading about Cooper because I wondered if he played college football at all. Apparently not, due to a medical condition.

What makes you think they are Catholic? Archie and Olivia are Presbyterian. There are actually Catholics in MS and other areas, though. You do not have to be from south Louisiana to be Catholic, it’s the largest Christian denomination in the country.

You do not have to be Catholic to send your children to Catholic school. Catholic schools are notorious for providing quality education. It is just a really good school.

Came here to say that. The big time farmers tried to recruit Chinese and Italian labor to work the farms. Turns out the Chinese and the Italians aren’t suckers, so that didn’t work out too well. But it did create the weirdest and most diverse area in Miss.

But speaking or Arch, he's why I was checking out the bio of his Dad, and why you always hearing about Archie, Peyton, and Eli, but never Cooper. Medical condition ended his playing career past high school.

New Orleans is mainly catholic. Best schools are catholic all girls or boys. Newman is for homosexuals

I don't know much about the demographics of Louisiana but I do know about the French heritage, so lots of Catholics I assume. Mississippi, though, where Archie if from, not so much I don't think.
edit: I mean, I think the Louisiana Cajuns are descended from French Roman Catholics. Why dey talk so funny
