I'm not saying that Herman is unequivocally the answer, there's obviously other options available but I do think he'd be a good candidate to reach out to and if he showed interest in coming aboard yall would be dumb as hell to pass him up just because he coached at Texas.

Whomever A&M hires as the next OC will cost about $750K. Because that hire will not happen while Jimbo collects $10 million.
Not because A&M can't afford it. A&M will write whatever check they can beg, borrow, or steal to tender. But because it will be a cold day in Hell before Jimbo ... the man who will not be fired because that money, for several more years now than A&M can dig out from under ... would rather suck all the dicks of the yell leaders than let somebody else call the plays.

How much does Dickey, the actual in title OC make to not call plays? I think he makes more than that

I know Elko came from Wake, but I think most the offense hires were from FSU?

Because they'll have to tear it all down and start over. And you don't pay that next guy a million a year. Because it would be a waste of money ... the million dollar guy that you need won't cost 500k. But you'll pay it ... just to feel better about it ... and to try and cut corners to find the right 500K guy.

We didn’t poach any of those coaches from lsu like the guy implied, the only poaches from LSU I know of are Chavis and Pat Henry
