You guys are great with hindsight, even if you still can't admit firing Fulmer was a mistake.

Firing Fulmer wasn't the mistake.

Not firing Fulmer after 2003 when he decided to sit down us and ride his laurels was the mistake.

Fulmer's last year without a doubt should have been 2005. He drove the program into the ditch. The cupboard was bare. That 2007 East we backed into it. The only reason we made Atlanta was the rest of the East collapsed.

Then you had Mike Hamilton's two disastrous hires.

Brian Kelly showed up showed up for the interview wearing an orange tie.

Gary Patterson thought he had the job. He went back to TCU and told his coaches, "we'll be wearing orange next year."

Hamilton hire Lane Kiffin.

After the mess Kiffin left no one wanted the job. That is how we got stuck with Doofus.

IMO, UT will challenge UGA for the east.

Well there is a really bold prediction. Tennessee competed for the East last year, not because they were good, but because the East is shite and anyone can win it. Mizzou had a good defense but were hardly a great team by any stretch. Other than Georgia everyone sucked last year otherwise.

No way Florida or South Carolina will be as bad as they were in 2014, and I see both Kentucky and Vandy improving as well. I think Tennessee had the best QB play in the East when the went to Dobbs and that is pretty much why some people are picking them to win it over Georgia, imo.

So, you couldn't get the prize and settled for his shadow.

Tell me how Gruden owns land in Tennessee and where his wife is from next.

Yup. That means we are destined to never be good. It's not like sports are cyclical or anything

We could have had Kelly or Patterson.

Hamilton hired Kiffin.

A large portion of your fanbase still believes you could have had Gruden.

Fact is even Cutcliffe said "No, I'd rather stay at Duke and have a chance at success as a HC".

So Kelly's shadow is the best you could do after being used as a stepping stone by Kiffen and the mistreatment of Dooley.

You should own your new spot in the CFB world like Minnesota fans have done instead of trying to overcompensate with hype that makes you feel good preseason but always results in disappointment after the season.

No again. Cutcliffe wanted the job, but said he wanted to keep his full staff. This is where the disagreement came in.

Mistreatment of Dooley.........lol.

I guess I should look at the troll I'm responding to

Yes, because if there was ever a program who has shown to know more about what it takes to win big on the field the last few years it is Tennessee.

Goodness Dale, what a shite reply. I expect more from you. Were you a member of grudenville dot com when your fanbase thought they were getting Gruden and registered that website?

No.

But they did have a convincing argument that Gruden was the man when he showed up on MNF wearing a red tie when the opening was announced on Sunday.

Because tie color choice = wants the job.

Y was Dooley a bad coach because he wasn't a fricken slime ball or douche bag and wouldn't recruit in a slime ball way like the program wanted.

And still with bad coaching and bad talent we still own USCe asses Your claim to fame is you could beat us when we had Dooley.

So, you've had NFL talent and haven't done much the last few years except get cornholed by Bama, lose games you shouldn't and embarrassed the SEC by losing to Notre Dame.

Sounds like you need to get your own house in order before talking about other folks. LSU is the UGA of the West....Does less with more.
