Was this the opinion of most Auburn fans? It was very surprising to me to see an OC go to a low tier FBS program like UConn from AU at the same position, should I assume that Lashlee was a "Dead Man Walking" so he jumped ship? If thats the case then it seems to me that its a little late in the season (or post season) to make a significant change like this.

Also was Stidham the first choice to replace Lashlee and how good of an OC is Stidham? I haven't looked any of this up and must admit I dont usually keep up with other SEC teams non-HC changes so I am genuinely curious about all of the above and not just BS-ing.

If you are being serious then Stidham is the the trasnfer QB they signed from Baylor.

Gus probably suggested Lashlee look elsewhere once he binged LCU and realized JFIII was offered based on a few series in garbage time.

Yeah a QB with 3 career starts should provide a lot of optimism. 3 starts against Big 12 defenses.

To be fair, Stidham looks very promising. If they get a solid OC and let him call the plays instead of the high school bullshite Gus is determined to run, Stidham could be very good.

I guess we could just be like bama fans and pump up the QB's who never played a down yet...

No. Not really. There is a group of Auburn fans that want to fire someone everytime things dont work out like they should. Its just a instant reaction.

I think most people know that Gus is pulling the strings and always has been at Auburn. The reports of Lashlee calling the plays mid season were funny and it was even more funny watching people think it actually made a difference.

Same plays just being called by a different guy. Rhett was either a scape goat or had his own legitimate reasons to leave. The offense is on Gus. It has been since he arrived in 2013. Nobody else

Great question, looking forward to this 20 year old call plays while simultaneously taking snaps behind center. Look out SEC.

I am certainly not one who is ready to praise Stidham. He will have to prove it on the field. I like the fact that he is here but he still has Woody Barrett to beat out for that job in my opinion. Both seem capable but neither had accomplished anything yet

We have been there before

I thought once Lashlee got to start calling plays and had his full cast of players he did a pretty decent job. I thought that was most Auburn's folks opinion too. Guess not.

No one is scared of Auburn as long as Gus is still calling the shots.

Gus going old school. Like Bart Starr old school. QB gonna call his own plays.

Pretty much, just wasn't very dynamic.

Writing on the wall says Gus/Lashlee finally broken up and Gus gets 1 more year with a new OC.
