"The NCAA members, my staff and those schools have got to get our arms around it fast," Emmert said. "I don't think this is some little blip that's going to go away over time. This is a real question of whether or not the universities and colleges, through the association, can manage their affairs.
"And I don't think anybody should take it lightly. I'm sure not."

Hes done nothing on serious violations from Miami, Auburn, and NC. Will he step up and hang Ole Piss? I dunno but he better or things will get worse.

Well happens when he cares more about fighting State laws that have nothing to do with the ncaa.
I was way more supportive of the ncaa, and how tough they had it as they tried to keep control of the inmates in the prison. Until they started meddling in things they have no place in.

At least they've investigated these schools... for crying out loud the smoke coming from Tuscaloosa has looked like a tire fire at times, but not a peep from Saban's a-hole buddy Emmett on that.

Maybe the model should be more conference based. The NCAA can't police every single school the way it is set up now. Maybe you have NCAA personnel assigned to each conference that work with each commissioner directly to root out issues at the conference level. Then those people come together and share results amongst the entire membership. You could rotate these people as well, 4 year rotations, then they move onto another conference.

Holy crap NCYAuburn. What do you call paying Cam's Dad $180k? You know damn well you guys got off the hook on that one. Was it as bad as Ole Piss? No, but at a minimum Cam should have been disqualified from competition in 2010. The evidence of his Dad getting payment was never in disagreement. Only that Cam didn't know, like that was EVER a good excuse even it was true.
