What do the two have to do with each other. AU didn't get in trouble because the NCAA dug for a year and didn't find anything wrong.

The NCAA wouldn't even visit bammer even though they had proof of violations. T-Town menswear using current players for advertising - by a booster. So forget it. It's not going to happen.

I feel ridiculous talking about deer antlers on a CFB messageboard.

Who'd thunk it?

Seriously, this has run its course. It was a 2 or 3 day story at best.
And it started to crumble apart not even 24 hours after it hit.

a professor at Johns Hopkins University told the Baltimore Sun that, despite SWATS' claims, there isn't an acceptable scientific way that IGF-1 can be effectively delivered orally.

"If there were, a lot of people would be happy that they don't need to get shots anymore," Dr. Roberto Salvatori told the newspaper. "It's just simply not possible for it to come from a spray."

The stuff this guy is selling is snake oil. Move along.

Don't have time for links. I thought ya'll had archives of everything that went on that year. Anyway, Emmert said that the NCAA ruled on proof of wrongdoing rather than innuendo on the internet - something like that - anyway, they left, and didn't mention any sanctions. Scooter

Ya know, for it being "snake oil" and impossible to work (only according to a Dr's opinion, not testing), major league sports sure are against these products, seeing how they are banned.

Does it really matter?

At this point, you're no longer posting about the topic.

If you would like to talk about the effects of drugs...or how the nation's debt is crippling us...or how to grow the perfect tomato...all of these topics have one thing in common. Take it to the OT Board.
B/c you're no longer talking about anything relevent to the topic.

However, as SI reports, the spray may not even be effective in humans.

Dr. Roberto Salvatori, who studies growth hormone at Johns Hopkins University, told the Baltimore Sun that there's no evidence of a successful way to deliver IGF-1 in pill or spray form.

"If there were, a lot of people would be happy that they don't need to get shots anymore," he told the paper."

I think what they ban is the injection of it...and in much larger doses for it to take effect.

It's "snake oil" b/c it doesn't work the way this guy says it does. It's been proven. He's saying he has something he really doesn't.

Marijuana is illegal...but it's not illegal if the guy selling it to you is selling you grass clippings.

That's because if you take IGF-1 and inject it, it works great and absolutely gives you a huge advantage. However, the issue is taking IGF-1 in spray form doesn't even do anything. The NFL put down a blanket ban on IGF-1 but, if it never entered the body due to the way it was transported....how can you be cheating?

If he's selling it as marijuana, it is.

IGF-1 is banned, sure, but spraying it in your mouth isn't an effective way to deliver it and isn't going to do anything.

They passed the drug test bc none of that sh*t was actually absorbed into their bloodstream.

roll tide.

No, the MLB actually have already warned the players about the antler spray.
LINK

The trick is, you are suppose to spray it under the tongue. The bottom of your tongue can actually absorb meds faster than swallowing, and that includes steroids. Of course, there are a bunch of meds that are in capsules, but those that aren't can actually be absorbed faster under the tongue.
