The SECCG started in 1992, and the title of SEC Champion dates back to 1933. So the SEC crowned its champion for almost 60 years without the game, and only 34 years with the championship game.
It would likely revert to best record, head to head, tie breakers etc.

It already was expanded when Texas and ou joined the conference, or we kicked 1 others out of your big 6 discussion. Hate us all you want but even in football (which from a natty perspective we have been terrible to expectations) we are in the big 6.

If no championship, the criteria goes to best conference record (and tiebreakers). Thus, the part about "expanding the Big Six" remains the same... you have to win a football championship. No other hoops, stipulations, or substitutions necessary.
