I would certainly think so. The regular season winner is clearly a cheater, and in a couple years, will have zero wins this year. Can't have that. So the only alternative is to declare whomever wins the tournament as the rightful SEC champion.

Basketball is a postseason sport. Fans should celebrate a regular season championship, but basketball programs are judged by what they do in the postseason. The regular season is largely irrelevant because of basketball's format.

LSU has won a bunch of SEC baseball tournaments and I have never considered them the champ unless they won the regular season.

Eh... all teams considered for champ are hard in for the March madness tourney.... SEC can’t prove wrong doing for LSU YET...SEC will be in the elite 8 for the forseeable future, just let LSU take the heat
