Should the CWS Championship series be moved back a few days to give each team time to rest starting pitchers? This way both teams would be at full strength for the series?

Have a 3 day break from the last game before the championship series. Start on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday if necessary. That way on game 1 all pitchers would have at least 3-3.5 days rest.

Yet you changed your fav team to the gators logo. So are you dick riding, or do you not care?

No! Pitching staff depth and management of it is part of the game.

The current setup rewards deep teams, rather than whomever simply has the best #1 or #2 starter. If you don't want to burn your staff, win your early games. If we don't suck against TCU on Friday, our ace wouldn't have pitched on Saturday.

I think that they should. Why not pit both teams top arms against each other?

How many "nobodies" do you estimate will be watching though?

Probably a lot since the viewership is up 95% from last year and has hit a 6-year high...

I know I know, but I like the CWS. In fact, it is on my sporting event bucket list. Now, it is pretty far down the list but nonetheless I will go one year to Omaha to watch the CWS.

Top of my list are

Super Bowl
World Series
US Open Tennis
Wimbledon Tennis
French Open Tennis
Monte Carlo Masters 1000 Tennis (that is one of the most bad arse stadium locations in the world. )

CWS- ideally with Bama winning it all.
Basketball final four
The Masters Golf
Kentucky Derby
SF Giants Home Game

Pittsburgh vs Green Bay Packers at Lambeau needs to be cold and snowing.

Pro Basketball finals

I was thinking about this too... instead of all this piecemeal pitching you could have Lange/Poche/Gilbert vs Faedo/Singer/Kowar

My thoughts are the same. I get having to use pitching rotation strategy throughout the tournament but once the final 2 make it then give the teams a chance to be at their best. That way there's no doubt about who has the best team.

Yes. It would be a purer series with the rotations the way they were all year that got
them to that place. I want to see the Lange vs Faedo, Poche vs Singer match ups. And I don't want to hear it from UF fans saying we already saw that earlier this season, I'm talking in general and for the championship. Plus a weekend series would make it much better for people with jobs that they can't just suddenly schedule off for to travel to Omaha.

This to, it would be so much easier for fans to travel to Friday, Saturday and Sunday if necessary final than a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday if necessary. You think the city of Omaha would live that and I bet it would help with the ratings. Have a little more time for the build up to the series.

But the winners' bracket teams have an advantage over the Friday matchup because they are throwing their 3rd guy as opposed to the losers' bracket games are playing their 4th game. Winners' bracket all the way through and you get your Friday guy on Monday and Saturday guy on Tuesday. That is the incentive to get to the CS with your normal rotation available. I think it is set up the way it should be for the teams (they have been out there for almost 2 weeks) plus the fans that have stayed the whole time.
