Allow top two teams to play each other.
With advent of new playoff, if two west teams are most deserving than let them play in SEC title game.

So AU, UA, and/or LSU would have to play each other twice? No thanks.

Oh I see. LSU and the rest of the West are getting scared now that Ole Miss is rising so you want to eliminate the West so we can't win it. Well I'm here to tell you, sir, such acts will not be tolerated by our great and sovereign state. You shall have my word on that.

No, but football should have

1. Gone to 9 game schedule
2. Pac 12 model for rivals

Since none of the happened, just beat everybody and pray bama doesn't get a mulligan.

Almost every organized sport on the planet has divisions.

When you start having way more teams than you can play round robin it becomes necessary.

Divisional imbalances happen sometimes.

For most of the 90's the Tennessee/Florida game was the defacto SEC Championship.

NCAA rules only allow conferences with divisions to have a championship game between division leaders. This is the reason the SEC split into divisions in the first place after the '92 expansion. After the other conferences saw the cash the SEC championship generated they followed suit. So no you idiot we do not need to drop divisions for the one billionth time someone has started this same stupid assed thread.
