I don't know if hiking is your thing but if it is, Phoenix is the best city in the country for hiking IMO. Camelback mountain, South Mountain Park, etc. all really cool, fairly easy hikes. The desert scenery is just amazing.

Damn I'm surprised at the lack of compact pickup truck love in this thread. That's all I've ever owned. For someone like me who doesn't usually haul anything it makes a lot more sense for a compact pickup truck when I can save a lot on gas.
I've only purchased Used Ford Rangers, but I've considered going ChevyS10's before.

Not gonna rank because I'm too lazy, but IMO Phoenix and Tampa Bay are highly underrated for both visiting and as a permanent residence.
