They should go back to the days where football coaches wore suits or dressed up on the sideline. They look like a bunch of rubes with their visors and sneakers.

Admit it. You just want to see the outline of the genitals in those tight football pants.

You should have to dress like your average fan. Auburn coaches have to wear polos with pom poms, Alabama coaches have to wear airbrushed tank tops and cargo shorts, etc.

Mark Richt with a painted face and spiked shoulder pads would be highly entertaining.

You mean like shoulder pads and all? That would be funny.

Come on. It's a sporting event, not a black tie event.

A) Nothing about a simple coat and tie combination is "black tie."

B) They are highly-paid, visible representatives of their respective universities and are going to their job. Why not dress appropriately as to not embarrass the university?

C) You're poor AF. I can already tell.

Nike, Addidas, UA, etc. they all expect the coaches to wear gear so they can market it to fans. The closest we saw to bringing back some dressiness was Dooley and he was such a royal screwup he managed to frick that idea up for decades.

Technically, baseball coaches have to wear uniforms because they have to step on the field of play all the time. Basketball, football, hockey and soccer are typically on the sidelines for the entire game. Unless there is a major injury, there is no need for a coach to ever encroach on the field of play.

softball coaches don't wear uniforms. let's just be honest, baseball coaches wear uniforms because they've always done so
