The dumpster fire that is 2020 just continues. Now it appears that both hurricanes in the Gulf are going to hit the bayou within miles of each other just 48 hours apart. This Michael survivor is saying a prayer for y'all and hoping everybody stays safe. Be smart and protect yourself and your family. Stuff can be replaced, loved ones can't. God Bless, y'all.

I mean, they are not gonna be that strong but man.... 2 direct hits within 2 days of one another, that's savage. I live in Denham springs, one is supposed to go through Baton rouge, the other through walker.

Fortunately they're both only projected to be category ones. Still...two hurricanes back-to-back like that. It's unprecedented.

I dunno. They are ramping up Marco’s intensity now. If they’ve been off the mark on anything in recent years, it’s how much the warm Gulf waters is like gasoline on a fire for a hurricane.

We need to get with the Aggies to see what we can do to make it less painful.

Katrina made landfall on August 29. Rita made landfall on September 24. Laura will be just 36 hours behind Marcos.

I thought it was a week apart. That was in my opiate diet days. Forgive my memory.

True, but tbey can spawn Tornadoes anywhere from an F1 to an F5. Sometimes serious outbreaks of violent weather follow on the heels of tropical storms or hurricanes.

So, stay safe S. Louisiana! You're in our prayers.

Good luck, Gulf Coast.

Louisiana, y’all look like you’ve drawn the short straw. Be safe.

Two in a
Day or two is tough. Tides will be up and power might be out. That sucks.

From what I've been reading it seems unlikely they will both hit in the same area. They will both influence each other and keep their distance from each other. The models just have a hard time dealing with that.

Although I hadn't heard they were going to arrive at different times, I had only previously seen they were heading very close to each other. Haven't looked much today. If they come at different times, seems more likely.

Personally, I'm betting 1 of them fails to form or goes in a path not expected.

I like listening to this guy about storms: Tropical Tidbits

No way do the hurricanes hit Louisiana or Texas.

You heard it hear first and this is my prediction.
