he's ineligible for TALKING about it? what a joke
To be fair, we don't know what they were talking about. The NCAA has been investing LSU for other infractions lately. To bad we'll probably never find out, this is a curious situation.
ETA: It is bullshite if Shepard and whatever teammate were just talking about an interview (like after the fact). Now if Shepard were asking someone to lie on his behalf, I could see where the NCAA would be pissed

And yet, the cops take 49 pairs of JJ's shoes why again?

Why didn't Wing get his shoes entered into evidence?

Sounds somewhat similar to what happened at GT, IIRC. NCAA said don't talk to student athlete prior to interview and coach or someone talked with the student athlete. Something like that. I don't remember the details.

How would the NCAA know Shepard talked to another player about the investigation?
Did the other player tell on him?

Don't worry about it
Given the NCAA's track record in cases like this involving high caliber SEC players, he'll be reinstated in less than 24 hours because he was unaware that a violation occurred.

Wait, I have missed this. What has come out to show that was not true?
His entire story that his lawyer told minus the arse beating and the face crusher.
He said he was there to pick up a friend and hadnt had a drink all night. He then says he saw a guy get yanked from his car for honking at LSU players, so he rushes over to help get then off him. Then our players turn on him and smash his face in. So the media then paints him as a hero. Yeah let's give him a damn medal.
Well it turns out he was there, he was drinking, he was stalking his ex GF who was flirting with our punter, and the RUMOR is he sucker punched Wing(our punter). So they get kicked out. Then after that it moved to the parking lot where captain America got his arse beat. At which he threatens to get a gun from his truck. I'm gonna kick him in the head too if he threatened me like that. No way I'd let him make it to his truck till I was far away.
His Ex GF filed a restraining order against him today citing several other instances he was stalking her and threatening her friends.
All that over a BRCC girl.

Some of the tards on the Rant saying that the beating was ok because this guy was earlier involved in unseemly behavior, but at the same time disallowing any talk of him being a Marine.
Just a small inconsistency in the whole scope of goings on at the moment.

Oh, it's serious. You just haven't thought it through.

I dont have a problem with the guy getting his arse beat. He had it coming. But kicking him in the face while he is on the ground is wrong.

they confiscated his shoes because he allegedly kicked lowery.

This is what I'm thinking happened...better question is who snitched on Shepard.

You could go ask your compliance department to refresh your recollection...

So, Cam Newton father shops him around for $180,000 and he is declared ineligible for one day after the season and is immediately reinstated and Russell Shepard talks to a TEAMATE and he is sitting for MULTIPLE GAMES?
The NCAA is a joke.
