Sad thing is...you're dead serious.

you hearing they bought out his contract, under the condition he commits to staying on board?

Unless he had an amazing agent, he will have to pay back some or all of his signing bonus if he transfers out.

Are no other programs willing to hire his brother to lure him away?

You gonna laugh when it's Spurrier instead?

So when do you think they announce his brother's promotion?

Too bad for him they're going to make the Rebels play without an offensive line next year. Prayers sent.
They'll be needed.. Brodie Croyle, arguably one of the most talented QB's in Bama history was almost murdered several times due to our poor OL play..

I'm ok with the guys they have around Patterson. Short of transfers I'd ask you to save your prayers for someone else. The linebackers maybe.

50/50 he plays college ball again. A.J and Benito odds are about the same.

We will see. I think the odds are better than 50/50 that he passes Bo Wallace to get into the top ten of SEC all time passers.

Looks like he wants to play in a fun offense.

Our offense wasn't fun? Too many LSU games has you confused about what exciting offense is, son.

Patterson had enough playing time, short though it was, to show he has the potential to play QB in the SEC successfully. However, lack of depth will be an issue, and with no defense again, he will face pressure to put up 40+ points a game to win.

The offense will be better next year than last simply because of experience. And last year he averaged 300 passing and 60 rushing only playing SEC games. Now the defense might have him needing to try for 400/100. But I think he will enjoy trying.

Probably perfecting the ole helmut bounce pass right now!

He doesn't really have much choice since he doesn't want to sit out.
He'll put up numbers. Ole Miss will be competitive.
If they surprise a few people because of Patterson's play, he'll get more kudos.
After the 18 season he can follow Wallace and Kelly to the NFL.

Good for the Rebs and good for him sticking with his commitment in the face of adversity. However, I can't help but think what a terrible choice it was for him to even go to Ole Miss in the first place.

He has a red shirt year. He has the same choice he had when he picked Ole Miss to begin with. He don't have to play with n the Music City or Outback bowl to be a star. He knows this offense is made for him.
