Say what now? The SEC is a reality check for OU.

There is no Greener Pasture for him.
Honestly the SC fans are about as rabid as any short of the Mexican Soccer League, pressure is low, they've shown they can produce some solid NFL talents etc.
Beamer could certainly do worse

I live amongst USC fans. About 6 weeks ago every last one of them would have helped pack up the dishes. It was foolish then, thinking he may or may not leave is equally foolish. If a $10 million a year offer with some sort of insane buyout comes along he would be a damned fool to turn it down unless South Carolina matched it.

I believe it. After Muschamp our fanbase has been completely disenfranchised. With our slow start offensively it looked to be business as usual, and this goes hand in hand with our terrible OL play the last 3 years. Developing Sellers and recruiting/developing OL prospects has turned this team around.
With that being said;

I don't think USC would have to match it, but they would have to come up. He's making over $6 million right now. If someone offered him 10, I think we would come up to $8 million.
Columbia is home for him. I truly feel like he wants/is trying to build a legacy here. I know that sounds a little foolish because it's South Carolina, but I'm willing to let him try.

If OU wants him we will take him. Sorry
We'd all be more concerned with Virginia Tech calling than OU. Sorry, but that's just reality.
Who the hell wants to voluntarily move to Oklahoma?

Sports fans have nearly zero objectivity. Do you think Riley could have pulled in the defensive players that BV has brought in? Is it BV’s fault that his available players play like they just left a Diddy party and took home party gift of baby oil and average an unreasonable amount of turnovers? BV is not the problem. He needs a legitimate OC. It’s OU, it shouldn’t be that hard to find one. You can’t win games when your defense is on the field 90% of the time no matter what team it is. OU after the 2025 class will have recruited 9 OL’men collectively with the 2024 class which are almost all 4*’s and a hopeful 5* if he stays. You think BV wanted to burn redshirts bc the fans are entitled? I’m glad he didn’t. He did a few but he didn’t have a choice. Hell with this new era of football why even redshirt, Dion doesn’t and it’s turned out pretty good so far. Elite defensive players want to play for a defensive minded coach so they can play in the NFL. Our record a few years ago proved that just like it is this year. OU is fine and their future is regardless of this very strange season is very bright.
