That song is so worn out.

I mean so is Eye of the Tiger but that doesn’t stop every school with the mascot from playing it.

Sandstorm, like the rooster crow, is only good in small amounts and at appropriate times to pump the crowd.

Playing sandstorm after we scored and we’re still down by 30 is a bit odd

I can get onboard with this funky groove! Way better than Sandstorm imo.
I'm trying to figure out why the video has comments turned off and a like/dislike ratio that's nearly even.

I like Sandstorm and it sure gets the fans wound up. Beamer sure better come up with something better or face some disappointed fans.

One of my favorite groups since the mid 90s when a buddy turned them in to me while going to UGA.

Cool side story. I worked at the Georgia Theatre for several years as a bar back and door man. The Funky Meters had a concert there one night and I worked the event. I was scheduled in a couple of hours before the show and it was just me and 3 others there getting their hospitality area ready and a couple of the lighting guys.

I was standing at the loading door in the back when their bus pulled in. Art Neville was the first off the bus and we made small talk a few seconds as the rest of the party exited the bus. I led led them in to their backstage area and then showed them around the venue and got them some drinks at the bar. I was a big fan already so it was kind of a special ten minutes for me. That dude sweated “coolness.”

BTW- Canbage Alley would be better

And LSU should find somewhere in pre game to work “Fire on the Bayou” in the festivities.

Well, what this has taught me is that at least ONE UGa fan has class...

I’m embarrassed for USCe every time they play that music and wave those towels. Way, way, way outdated.

Nah, if you didn’t win one every now and then you want to stop playing us, like Auburn does. I just think USCjr needs to get involved in the 21st century.

It was pretty great, of course my first memory of it was Kevin Sumlin and Kenny Hill ending the home win streak for you and Sandstorm was never the same.

LOL. I have loved the music that has come out of there for a long time.

Big fan of Allen Toussaint, Professor Longhair and all of the originals. Also love Cyril Nevilles stuff. Huge fan of Tab Benoit and have seen him at small venues in Atlanta when he has passed through.
