That song is so worn out. I went to raves all throughout the 90s and did the after hours techno club thing for a long time too. I never thought a techno song would go that mainstream.

On a serious note, the Meters are from NOla and I would expect a good portion of our LSU posters here have heard of them..

Yep I did not know about them although I have heard CIssy Strut somewhere. I think it might be in the soundtrack to Ocean's 11. I see that Art Neville was the founder from the famous Neville family in New Orleans.

It was originally released in the early 1970's along with this gem from Rufus Thomas. (Those familiar with Easy E will recognize the hook...)

Perhaps they were inspired by SC's only conference championship in 1969....
