And it could have cost us the season.

It did along with an RB at QB. This, per an Alabama fan friend of mine that is.

Whether true or not, it was explained to be that the reason he kept his job was that he was telling Milroe what the defense was positioned to do before each snap. Before anyone calls that ridiculous, remember the 2012 Championship games in which Barrett Jones (C) and AJ McCarron (QB) shoved each other on the field due to disagreeing about which call needed to be made.

Holding onto Milroe was always going against Bama's offensive ethos under Saban. It's a reason the QB competition is open again. No more sandlot offense.

Glad to see y’all are hammering this year’s excuse into place.

“It wasn’t the team or the coach! It was the center! We beat ourselves!”

Same song, 400th verse.

People need to lay off this guy.
I kind of agree maybe coaches should have changed things around somehow. But he lost the auburn game also but the Hail Mary made it not important. When the snaps were so bad all year I do think coaches should have done something but maybe there wasn’t anything to do.

In the old days, shotgun snaps were made with same grip as under center snaps.

When did holding the nose of the ball become the predominant method?
It’s called “dead ball” snap.
It’s supposedly is easier for the center.
I’ll try to ding a photo.

It's going to be funny if he ends up winning a championship at Ohio State.

Only if he wins it without using a hearing aid.

Why didn't Saban replace him? It seems odd. If nobody else can snap the ball it could be a long year for you next year.

Our center can’t block and yours can’t snap. Put them together and make one good center.

OR, and just spitballing here...you could end up with a center who can't snap the ball or block.

Snap was low, but Milroe had plenty of time to run elsewhere. He's not getting nearly enough grief for panicking.

Just typical Bama entitlement. Y’all are too dense to realize you were outclassed most of the season. You got lucky so many times that half the teams in the SEC would have been in the playoffs off that stuff, and probably wouldn’t have gotten embarrassed.

No, really. Travis injury, Koy Moore’s dropped punt, Milroe’s freakish Hail Mary that fooled you guys into thinking he was a good QB, against a team LSU beat with Joe Biden as DC, and also that NM state blew out. And that was only the Auburn game.

I mean,. it wasn't a matter of one snap. As has been pointed out, he made poor snaps all season. He should have been replaced early on when the problem persisted.
