Manage all this bullshite. What a fricking nightmare of a job. I don’t see how they can enjoy game day. I guess those few hours are an escape. I wish espn would do a show where saban just outlined how you go about managing all this shite like a schedule. What you worry about; when you worry about it..just everything. That would be awesome. Just looking on seems brutal

Saban threw up his hands and walked away from it. I would love to watch a show how he chickened out.

It won't be long until everyone has a program at UNC like Belichek demanded. Two whole staffs, one for football, one for recruiting.

The worst part would be dealing with the off the field bs by the players

Most teams are hiring into a new GM position

If you've noticed, this has really dropped off at most programs. Now that you're making seven figures and that is contingent on you not screwing up suddenly the 18 year olds got a whole lot more mature.

Several million reasons

It is brutal. That’s why Saban got out, and Kirby and Dabo have expressed dissatisfaction with it all. The transfer portal is going to ruin what’s left of CFB.

even if saban walked away he can still give an outline of it all. what a day is like. dude went to a 4 team playoff last year. he could give very interesting insight. I just picked him cause an active coach isn't gonna do it

Have to have a complete other staff that are constantly looking at players from other teams and building a portal board throughout each season of guys you would be interested in from their scouting and such and then have to have a NFL Gm type person or a team of them to have a plan in place of best way to allocate funds to where coaches can review players put before them and meet with GM team to see what is the best batch we can get for the money we have and oh yeah who do we have to allocate more funds to on current team so they don’t leave. May have to have a small team dedicated to just being close to players to know who is happy or not and who is potentially leaving that we would want to keep and how much would that cost. So you basically need about 3 staffs…no biggie…crazy to think about….what a nightmare

The younger and less rich you are, the more BS you can handle. If you’re 60+ and secure there is very little you will take.

Either you are making a joke or you are epically ignorant. My guess is the latter.
Saban has 7 national championships and will be forever known as the GOAT of modern collegiate football. He is 71 years old and decided to retire. Are you still going to be working when you are in your 70’s? He has nothing else to prove.
Poor Vernon, epically ignorant and does not even realize it
