Best players that money and hookers can buy. I get it
Ole miss is the powerhouse of the west.
What was it... 2-6 in conference this season? Thank god for Arkansas and Vandy, am I right? Oh wait... I already mentioned them in my earlier post.
The SEC teams are all gods. Vandy, ole miss, arkansas. Is that better?

Lol. We might as well be sitting in the same dusty pew in the same dusty church. Welcome to the club. Ha

I love the SEC, but a clear path to the title would be nice.

We could compare SEC Championships this last decade too, but I'd bet you'd avoid that one too.
Enjoy your "big" Sugar Bowl win and glad to know Auburn is always on your mind

No. Joining the ACC would mean our closest rival would be Georgia Tech.
Yes, we would be competing in a better basketball league. Yes, we would pretty much be able to turn the ACC into the Arkansas track invitational. Everything else would suck. Yes, we would get to call our regular season baseball games batting practice. Still no.
Sure, Pittman's job with the rebuild would be easier but we'd have to drive a 26 hour round trip to make most of the games.
Now... hypothetically speaking a rebuilt Big 8 with Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, A&M, the Okie schools, the Kansas schools, Iowa State, Texas Tech, BYU, and us... why not?

Are you oxygen deprived? How will adding another conference game prohibit any program from scheduling good OOC opponents? Drop the cupcakes and give the customers (us) real home games.

I would not want to trade the yearly war with Florida,, Alabama and Auburn for anything. I also love beating up on aTm, Arkansas, ole pissy and little ole State. I feel bad sometimes for our beating up on State though. It feels like we are throwing firecrackers on a retard or something.
Anyway,
If Clemson played in the west, who there East yearly permanent opponent would be matters. We have Florida. While that game is very fun, it’s hard as hell. It’s not like chickenshit Alabama having Vandy. Anyway
If Clemson was in the west they would do no better than Auburn or LSU does. They would have to face Alabama, Auburn, LSU and then the lessers every year but the lesser teams sometimes have good years full of senior players and get their lucky game in and win one now and then they shouldn’t. Look at Ole Pissy, they beat Alabama twice in the last decade. Lil ole State beat LSU that one time. Sure it’s once in 25 years but it happens. Sometimes the refs help the underdogs and aTm beat LSU once this decade. It happens. Clemson would have to face three teams that are on their level or close and a group of teams that can beat you if they are on fire and you are having a bad day, or if the refs decide to call a penalty every time you make a game winning play.
If Clemson played in the East, it would be better but who their West permanent opponent is would be noteworthy. Clemson would surely have to face Georgia and Florida every year. The East also has Tennessee, Kentucky and SCAR that can beat you any time if you have a bad game or the refs frick you. It’s not all roses and popcorn. Clemson would also have that West opponent. If they hit the lotto and get aTm or Arkansas, then it’s not as bad but if they get LSU, Bama or Auburn, it just got a lot tougher.
There is no comparison with what they would play in the SEC and the ACC. Our #6-12 teams are the equal or better than there 2-7 teams. Clemson basically plays Vandy and Arkansas caliber teams as their greatest threats now. Every game in the SEC where the top 5-6 teams play each other is basically a playoff caliber game in the regular season. Clemson never has that. Their toughest games are North Carolina or Virginia and those teams will never play for a national championship.

No, I wouldn’t want to leave the SEC. I thinks it’s the best football there is.
I wished we played every SEC team within a 4 year period. This would make it even harder to reach the playoff, but just imagine the great football that would be played. The matchups would be awesome.

Spot on. Great answer! Nothing compares to playing in the SEC. Regardless of victory or defeat. Clemson fans know they will always be laughed at playing in that JV conference.
No response from any Clemson fan trolling this board either. Very telling.

There’s usually 2-3 games a season that are just boring to watch. As an LSU fan, I watch but it’s not that fun.
Imagine the whole season being like that. You’re missing a lot of damn good football.

This would be glorious in so many ways. The melts would be multiple and epic every season.

That is why being in the SEC is a privilege and supporting our SEC brethren is paramount post regular season. United, but playing in the SEC their comes a rites of passage where it is understood (by most not all) you are expected to win outside conference games! It truly is unique in that way. Imo

Could you imagine how boring the season would be? ACC football is uninspiring and boring.

Just. As Bad.
Tennessee isn’t anything like having to play fricking Florida every year.
Alabama got its two biggest threats fricked. LSU has Florida and Auburn has Georgia. LSU and Auburn get the only two East powerhouses and Alabama gets a cupcake. You know that shite was planned. But of coarse they hide behind tradition But it’s all money and stacking the deck.
