I was glad everyone lost with the exception being OM.

I've never pulled for the conference as a whole.

I don't really give a damn if Bama won or lost, but it was bad for the SEC. The West bowl meltdown has ruined the SEC's air of invincibility for the forseeable future, meaning people aren't going to so willingly buy that the SEC is a gauntlet. Meaning the SEC may not get the benefit of the doubt in an AP ranking or a playoff decision. It for sure means the SEC won't be getting two teams in the playoff any time soon. LSU is going to be one of the schools that the downgrading of the SEC probably impacts the most. If all that makes you happy, enjoy.

This x 100........

Unfortunately Bama will always get the benefit of doubt more than not. Especially with Saban at the helm right now. Some SEC programs not so much after this bowl showing. Forget 2 SEC teams in CFB playoffs for awhile. It won't matter if it wil be deserved or not in the future. It won't happen now. The SEC picked a bad season to be overrated, that much is for certain.....

I have disliked Ohio State for a very, very long time. I would cheer for the 'sips over OSU.

I can't wipe this smile off my face. I definitely had a spring in my step today and saying that I'm pathetic for this is not likely to decrease this euphoria. YES!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!! God I'm so happy right now.
It's good that you are because we all realize what y'all have gone through lately, and the bleak outlook that you face, what with coaches jumping ship and rumors of players leaving, and....well, just keep on smiling, fella because it's great to be alive!

Not at all. I could give a shite about Alabama.

Why do you think the SEC had so many teams in the Top 10 at points this year?

It was because of the perception of SEC superiority. A perception gained over the last 10 years.

Bama was the last hope for that perception to be maintained after the West bowl game implosion.

Now everybody and their brother thinks the SEC is overrated. And that will be reflected in the polls and future playoff choices. You just watch.

LSU's only future hope of making the four team playoff will be to win the SEC outright.

Save your breathe, friend. Folks have been trying to explain this simple fact to these idiots for years, but as the old saying goes, "you just can't fix stupid".

Have not been in conference long enough for me to be happy about SEC losses that don't impact Mizzou.

Given time, I reserve the right to chuckle, though.

Did Kwon, a player who will not be drafted in the first 2 rounds declare? Collins?
Who else? Who's next. You were only 8-5 this year, you have some of your best players leaving early, who were only mediocre anyway, with the pathetic QB situation, and your best coach telling LSU TO frick OFF, you will be lucky to be 8-5 again.

Honestly after the scorn flung at Arkansas all season it was fairly entertaining that we won our bowl game when so many teams from the SEC West didn't. Particularly after the tenth we should kick out all the expansion teams thread you've read in a week.

That having been said the entire West but for us and the Aggies collapsing and losing all of the SEC's high profile games makes the entire conference look like a paper tiger. Get ready for an off season where people point to the bowl games and declare that not only is the SEC weaker then the PAC 12 it might very well be the weakest Power 5 conference.

Sure, they will be wrong, but it is going to be a long and humiliating off season for the SEC. At the end of the season nobody was pointing to Arkansas and A&M as the best of the West, but our teams gave a rat's arse about their bowl games. Maybe next time around the rest of the West could try that.

If Charlie Strong was the HC for the Whorns and they were playing Satan I'd probably be neutral on who won the game.

You are always happy when Big Brother loses, I understand the happiness of LSU fans.

For me, I'm a UK guy first, SEC 2nd, so no, I was hoping we would win the title in both football and basketball again.
