If you want to contribute to this week's Football Power Rankings, submit your 1-14 ranking of the SEC teams here or email it to me (email is in my profile). We will randomly pick 2 rankings out of all the reasonable ones submitted. Voting closes tonight, and the winners will be announced in the Football Power Rankings thread

Here are some suggestions that we give to the regular voters:
quote:

We aren't going to tie your hands with a "formula" but we encourage you to use some of the following: the past week's results, team momentum/trend, conference record, rankings (SOS, AP, Coaches, College Playoff Selection Committee Poll (whatever they decide it call it), etc), team stats, OOC record, overall record, eye-test. We trust that you're able to form your own combo of these elements without our guidance, but we would like you to emphasize what a team has most recently accomplished.

Here's the Week 13 Power Rankings (last week's) to use as a reference
1. Alabama (30)
2. Mississippi State
3. Georgia
4. Missouri
5. Auburn
6. Arkansas
7. Ole Miss
8. LSU
9. Texas A&M
10. Tennessee
11. South Carolina
12. Florida
13. Kentucky
14. Vanderbilt

Thanks

1. Alabama 11-1
#4 SOS, #16 total offense, #11 total defense.
2. Mississippi State 10-2
Both losses on the road vs highly-ranked teams
3. Georgia 9-3
Mudholed Missouri & Auburn. Gagged against UF & GT.
4. Mississippi 9-3
Two great wins, but an awful 30-0 loss to Arkansas.
5. Missouri 10-2
Cardiac Cats; lots of close wins. Waxed by UGA. #Indiana
6. Auburn 8-4
Some good wins, UGA blowout and inexplicable loss to A&M at home.
7. LSU 8-4
Beat Wisconsin & Ole Miss, creamed by Auburn & Arkansas.
8. Texas A&M 7-5
Beat Auburn late, but next best win is vs 6-6 Arkansas. Pretty much crushed in 3 straight games.
9. Arkansas 6-6
5 close losses (one score), should be an 8-win team.
10. South Carolina 6-6
Beat UGA, no other impressive wins. 4 close losses (one score).
11. Florida 6-5
A functional offense means UF is a 10-win team. Beat UGA, but no one else of consequence.
12. Tennessee 6-6
Combined conference record of their 3 SEC wins: 5-19.
13. Kentucky 5-7
Beat USC, fell to pieces although they scared a couple teams.
14. Vanderbilt 3-9
Two narrow wins...team is closer to 1-11 than finding an SEC win.

After #1, it's a muddled mess. I've seen alot worse than Ole Miss at #3

Btw, you're an idiot if you're putting South Carolina over Tennessee.
