I thought about installing it at the Cockaboose as well but we already have USC Cable down there, which includes closed circuit broadcasts of all the games in real time and without delays, so we decided to keep that service at the Cockaboose because we have guests who might not be able to get tickets but they can still watch the games real time, without delays, in or on top of the Cockaboose and hear the cheers real time inside the stadium. Otherwise I would have installed DISH down there as well.

Spend $3-$350 on the Dish tailgater man.

I got one last football season and it's pretty sweet.

I take one of my box's from a store and hook to it. The tailgater can locate signal on its own. Your don't have to fiddle with anything. Hook up box to tailgater then TV to the box.

I use the tailgater for my outdoor tv area, camping, tailgating, etc.

ESPN owns the SEC Network.
If they can generate ad revenue by streaming games via 3 into areas service by Cox, for example, you can bet they will.

if your TV provider does not have SECN you are not going to get access to SECN via WatchESPN.

Its an all or nothing thing.

The only folks with any chance of getting live streaming for SECN games are those that have service providers that have contracts for the ESPN. If you have a provider that doesn't have the SECN, you won't get live streaming.

So using a SmartTV with direct internet connection, the cable company can block the feed from ESPN ?

. But I see on ESPN’s schedule that the games listed on the SECN are also available on WATCHESPN

Don't count on it, if you dont' have a SECN carrier(a customer of) then you may be out of luck.

The emphasis and pressure from ESPN and the SEC will be for YOU to switch to a carrier that does carry the SECN and likewise put pressure on those who are holding out to carry it. Since just about anyone can switch to Dish, they are likely to take a hardline stance on this in an all out effort to force the final hold out carriers to give in.

Once they have most or all the carriers they are after I would expect them to ease up and start adding more games to the streaming service that are open to all.

Ok so you seem to know a lot about this deal. Back to my original question. If I continue to use my friend's ATTUverse login as I did for the baseball regionals. I should be able to stream the SECN games right?

Absolutely.

We were going to try that but we were told south facing was blocked by the condos behind our Cockaboose so it would be sketchy reception at best.

The guy who installed all of our dishes at our businesses and offices and homes actually came buy our Cockaboose to check it out with an electronic compass tool he has and he said we might just get over the railing on the condo deck behind our Cockaboose but he couldn't guarantee it.
