Yea we'll be reloading at WR next year - first time since 2017 or 2018. Probably be playing a couple of true freshmen to go along with Metchie and Slade. I would expect Billingsley to get a lot of pass-game action as well.

We won't be in any best WR groupings to start the season.

Alabama vs. Florida

They’ve met in the 90s, 00s, 10s, and now this would be one for the 20s

There are certainly worse WR groups than Metchie, Bolden, Jacorey Brooks, and Agiye Hall. Maybe not a ton of depth though. Doesn’t seem like it matters for you guys though. Even with Waddle out you only have 4 WRs who have caught a pass this year, so only 3 healthy ones. Kind of strange.

Brooks and Hall haven't even stepped on campus yet, so hard to tell much about them. They are certainly talented.

We should have a lot of solid guys in the mix (including some of the freshmen this year), but it'll take a while for them all to figure things out and for the room to take shape.

It'll be interesting to see how our offense shapes up next year with Young, all the young RBs, some young OL, the new WRs and possibly a new coordinator.

There are gonna be a lo of unknowns in the SEC next year

I’m just hopzing JT Daniels is legit. We have the WRs to be a truly elite offense. Did you see Arian Smith caught a TD last week on his 2nd career snap? I’m hoping he can be our version off Waddle or Toney.

Lucky us and I'm sure the same can be said for a1abama in their SECCGs.

Cheer up, LSU fans. I'm sure that one season of success is a guarantee of long-term sustained excellence.

In glad you think that Bama, Florida and LSU only have 5 WRs on scholarship. Also half the wrs you mentioned for UGA have either not even played or have barely any stats. Anyone can add highly rated recruits and just claim they will be good. I know Bama and LSU can.

Wrong as usual. Every single guy on that list except Arian Smith has started a game.

Pickens
Kearis Jackson
JermaineBurton
Blaylock
D-Rob

Have all played and have considerable stats

Arian Smith was injured at the start of the year and just caught a TD in his 2nd career snap. Rosemy started against Florida and caught a TD before he broke his leg. Landers sucks.

So that’s 5. You said 9. If you wanna talk about guys that have played and have stats LSU has more than 2. Who else do you think we are losing besides Marshall and maybe McMath?

It wouldn’t be fair to Bama to have to play Georgia again. Bama already beat them in the regular season.

Let’s do what’s fair for all. Thank you for understanding.

I guess LSU is fortunate that they never have to play Bama in the SECCG, huh?

I listed the 5 who have considerable stats

Pickens
Jackson
Burton

Those 3 are our current starting WRs. They are all proven.

Blaylock proved himself last year and is injured this year.

Robertson proved himself last year. He had a kid over the offseason and wasn’t able to focus on football at all while he was being a father. He said he didn’t touch a football from April to August. He already said he wants to come back next year and work hard.

Arian Smith is the fastest player on the team. He’s been injured all year and caught a 31-yard TD pass on his 2nd career snap.

Rosemy only started against Florida because Pickens and Smith were injured. He caught a 32 yard TD pass.

Matt Landers sucks.

Georgia beat writer said to expect 90% of SEC seniors to move on after this year even though they can come back. Apparently having that many players on the team will really mess up coaches plans and they want most of them to move on to avoid mass transfer movements from the young guys.

So I’d guess:

Marshall
McMath
Kirklin

Are gone

So that leaves Boutte, Jenkins, Moore and Palmer for you. That’s 646 receiving yards from this year

Georgia’s returning WRs combine for 1200 receiving yards this year, 1800 if you add Blaylock’s yards from last year and use D-Rob’s 2019 stats instead.

The point is, Georgia has had a lot of different WRs play because of injuries and they’ve played well with their opportunities.

And even if Arian Smith and Rosemy don’t work out, does it matter?

We have 5 WRs who have proven themselves.

Each of them has had a successful season, whether it be in 2019 or 2020

Pickens- 727 yards, 8 TDs as a freshman
Jackson- 455 yards, 3 TDs and counting
Burton- 410 yards, 3 TDs and counting as a freshman
Robertson- 387 yards, 3 TDs
Blaylock- 310 yards, 5 TDs as a freshman

Not to mention the fact that the majority of these yards came from 2019 Fromm or Stetson Bennett, two terrible QBs. Imagine what they could do with a competent QB

That’s 5 proven WRs. Who has more?

Just because Florida is the only team to have beaten you in the past SECCG does not mean they have a better shot.

I dunno if that's the actual reason. Its probably the fact that we beat the shite out of you this regular season

So you just assume all the draft eligible guys return excluding D Rob because he’s a senior? I’m talking about the RS sophomores and juniors.

Pickens- true sophomore
Jackson- RS Sophomore
Burton- true freshman
Blaylock- true sophomore
D-Rob- Senior
Arian Smith- true freshman
Marcus Rosemy- true freshman
Matt Landers- Junior

So the only draft eligible WRs are D-Rob, Jackson, and Landers.

D-Rob is coming back. Landers sucks so he ain’t leaving. Jackson is having a nice year but I seriously doubt he jumps as a Rs Sophomore after one decent year.

So what makes you think McMath and Kirklin are for sure leaving? Neither of them have the set the world on fire.
