The last two MVPs were the two Linebackers (Reuben Foster, Roquan Smith) - meaning only 3 defensive players were selected between 1993 and 2015.
14 MVPs have been QBs, but only 1 out of the last 7 (Blake Sims). 4 RBs and 3 WRs have been MVP.

5 Heisman trophy winners have played in SECCGs (4 since 2007 - Tebow, Ingram, Newton, Henry). Ingram is the only Heisman winner to not win an SECCG MVP (Tebow won it a different year than he was named SECCG MVP).

Danny Wuerffel is the only 2 time MVP. He was also the only Heisman winner to appear in a game until 2008.

Tebow is the only Heisman winner to lose an SECCG.

without "googling" what you was the first "re-match" of a regular season game?

I honestly don't know off the top of my head - I would GUESS 1999 (Alabama vs Florida) because they were making a huge deal out of it considering the regular season game as a 40-39 OT win for Alabama in the Swamp. Alabama didn't play Florida during the regular season those years they met (early-to-mid 90s).

That game was weird. I think Bama led 16-9 at one point despite having negative offensive yards.

Yup:
First drive was -6 yards
Then we picked off Florida, got -1 yards and a FG
Then we returned an INT for a TD
Then we returned a punt for a TD
16 points, -7 yards of offense

Florida ended with exactly 0 yards rushing on 30 carries that game.

Tennessee is the only team to have won an SECCG and still have a SECCG losing record.

That means the SEC has won half of the national titles since the '92 expansion, when you consider that Alabama's won 2 without even playing in the SECCG. If you had told me this would happen in '92, I would have thought we'd have at least won one of them.
