Going to be a very competitive year. I won't be surprised to see the west shuffled around many different ways.

Alabama's "step back" was last year. Worst team since 2007. Should have gotten Bama while you could.

Our schedule might be harder if any of road game opponents had a starting QB worth a shite...or hell even better than Brandon Allen.

But they don't

TAMU had one scholarship Linebacker in Spring Football this year. Your Secondary is incredibly weak and lacks physicality. Your front 4 has two difference makers and that's it.

With State, LSU, Bama, Auburn and now Arkansas' level of physicality in the running game on your schedule, the offense isn't the point guys. Chief is fantastic. I give the man his due. But he can't magically sh!t out difference makers-much less warm bodies-for your defense to play meaningful, impactful snaps with.

How anyone puts them in the top half of the West is utter delusion.

I'll be the 1st to admit that the West could go any way possible this year. There is so much talent and great coaching all around. But for the question of how LSU is improved...
Our D was 1st in the SEC and returns 2 starting DT's, 2 LB's with the other new starter with a lot of PT and 3 starters in the secondary.
OL will be stout again and RB's looking as good as the top SEC back fields. All WR's back and have gained size which was much needed. But yes, it will all be on the QB's.
I think every team that returns QB's think they will at least be minimally better than the year before, so that would imply that we should be improved. Still, after saying all of this, the West is stacked and there will be some really good teams with losing conference records this year.

Yall are going to be really surprised at how good our LB corps comes together If they're all healthy at the same time. Last year out of our top 4 we never had more than 2 on the field.

Safety should be a strength, and our pass rush should help mitigate whatever we don't have at corner.

Devante Harris is at 180 when he's started the last two years at 160.
