Haha.
Oxford just elected 7 democratic alderman and a democrat for mayor.
LINK
We didn't have a republican run for mayor and we only had two republicans running for alderman.

Not so fast. That's counting Bentonville (Home of walmarks).
Fayetteville being the second largest city in that MSA

These days it is. Its pretty much just a suburb of BR.

There are 3 colleges in BR. And it does have a college town feel on gamedays.

Fayetteville is still the largest city in the MSA. Springdale is close.
Benton County, where Bentonville and Rogers are located, is a more populous county than Washington County, where Fayetteville is.

You are correct.

Fort Smith is not a part of the NWA Metro. It is its own MSA.
Benton County used to be the burbs of Fayetteville. Now its gone flip-mode. We are gradually becoming their burbs.

No. I thought Bentonville was larger. WMR set me straight. My employer does a lot of business in that part of the world. I try to take an interest.

In 1990:
Benton County = 98,500
Washington County = 114,325
Today:
Benton County = 227,000
Washington County = 207,521
They passed us and they are still growing faster.

Bentonville is the smallest of the four main cities. It probably will be for a while.
They just have all the $$$$, so they seem larger.

Not sure where these numbers are coming from.
Starkville:
Poplulation (2010) - 23,888
media household Income (2010) - $26,534
Oxford:
Poplulation (2010) - 18,916
media household Income (2010) - $32,326
Didn't care enough to look up the others.
