SEC transfer portal at a glance

Just looking through this link to see what the SEC and a couple of other choice schools in the league were up to when talking about who is in the portal.

So I started just looking at the players out, then I went ahead and got the player transferring in as well, even thought that wasn't my initial intent.
This data probably has small errors in it here and there, I will certainly update if they are brought up, and the data is changing by the hour. With that... sorted by players transferring away.

Looks like teams above LSU (and maybe even Florida) are getting hit hard.
And Ole Miss with the only positive net change is interesting to me.

We lose a lot so probably a lot of players sticking around to win starting positions in the spring.

It is interesting,, now that we got rid of players who weren't going to be factors, we are at 84 players on scholarship., counting incoming freshmen. Still need to process a few more to add some transfers. This is just the new era of processing. Lost 1 player we wanted to keep, Devanta Smith, and the coaches didn't deem him worthy of matching ND's offer.

I haven't checked all of them but I don't think your numbers are accurate. Are you saying LSU has added 18 players through the transfer portal?

Where are you getting these numbers? LSU has had 16 players enter the portal and have signed 9 from it.
If you really want to get in the weeds:
Players in portal: 16
Players declared for draft: 3
Players out of eligibility: 11
Total Players out: 30
Players signed out of portal: 9
Players signed out of high school: 23
Total players in: 32
Net change: +2

Call me crazy, but I'd swear there was a thread on here already that kept a running total similar to yours.
(I can't seem to find it now, so I may indeed just be really high on the devil's lettuce.)

Yeah, but they are also just showing high probability on the crystal ball. So not a done deal yet.
I was just using the first link in the original post, and adding up manually to get a ball park. the second link is what I was really looking for. Not sure why there are so many discrepancies.

So who are the 9 extra guys that are crystal balled to LSU that haven't committed yet? You've got to actually look at what you are counting before you go compiling numbers. You are counting players multiple times.
