If Bama really gave a shite about “player safety” they’d just quit losing. It’s their own fault.

incident on the field
I'm sure this was an "isolated incident." And this coonass in LSU fishing gear is in no way representative of the rest of this trashy fanbase.
Yep. Everything's perfectly fine. Nothing to see here.

Well, maybe they will consult with you on it. Oh wait, they have already signaled that no one from LSU is going to be consulted on this. Please be sure that LSU gets that second check for $250k in the mail tomorrow.
Which has nothing to do with it being bullshite or not. But your too big of a bitch arse homer to see that. Go suck off Sankey like a good boy.

You seem pretty salty about this. But I guess it is understandable, $500k is a lot of money. And I know ya’ll already have some financial issues.

Two grown arse men had words and no scuffle incurred?

Actually not salty at all just trying to figure out why Bama is acting like huge gaping vaginas about the whole situation. But good deflection.

They will have to hire a couple hundred guards to wait outside the stadiums until the end of the games.

One had a job to do and was on the field of play for a purpose. Who needed police escort to get off the field.
The other was a typical coonass LSU fan.

The focus shouldn't be on stopping fans from rushing, it should be keeping them away from the teams. Seems like it would be much easier to pull that off than it would be to stop fans from entering the field.
This.
Security in the stadium is smart enough to know when a field rush is coming at least a minute or two ahead of it actually happening.
Set up a chain of communication that tells the coaches “hey guys, we’re not doing the handshake, go to the locker room as soon as it hits 0:00” and then surround both squads and escort them the frick out of there ASAP. Goal should be to make chance of contact between players and fans as minimal as possible.
You post a policy on the tickets and announce it during games that anyone who enters the playing area before, during or after the competition does so at their own risk and the University and SEC are not responsible for injuries and blah blah blah.
Fans really want the chance to party with players as much as anything, so that could very well reduce the number of field storming anyway if they don’t get a chance to do that.
The only way to stop 30,000 people from rushing onto a field is through obstructions that would make game-watching from the field-level seats horrible or use of force and…well…yeah, that wouldn’t go over very well.

They’re twats just like their coach who was probably terrified again and they know that their thugs might assault some sorority girls… again.

You cannot stop 10K students from storming a field if they want to.
Or 50,000 fans in the lower bowl

There's not a single fan of a given team, that in the unusual case of some player or coach on their team gets hurt by some drunk fan , that won't be screaming from the mountain tops questioning why fans were even allowed on the field.
And you know it.
I'm all for celebrating , maybe there just needs to be a better coordinated way to escort everyone off the field first. No idea how that'll happen though

Logistically how will they do this
One other option they ARE considering is lifetime bans for fans. That is already pretty popular in pro sports for jackass fans. This is being considered. Get caught on the field? Sorry, you can’t ever come back. Oh, you have season tickets? No, you had season tickets. Sorry.

It’s fun!! Let people enjoy it as long as they are not harming others

No, you would have had a line of cops in riot gear with pepper spray and billly clubs turning the first fans onto the field into wet spots, and the rest would have rethought things.
A solution in search of a problem. With the exception of Burton punching a woman, nothing bad has happened and everyone has just gone home.
frick this lawyer fueled authoritarian bullshite

I welcome it. It's trashy and becoming more prevalent and something bad's going to happen.
Something has already happened, a Bama player assaulted a woman

Exactly. I had one hand on that goalpost when we beat #1 Florida in the 90's. It's just college kids having fun.

Well, they is a well thought out, logical response that addresses the issue. Good job.

So one field rush and you perma-ban 50,000 loyal paying customers? That seems like a good way to lose customers.
