If you decide to bet it though you can have a fresh $100 bill from that life savings. Might be worth a gamble....

Be wary of trips to Gainesville and Auburn. Those teams were very green last year and are hungry to take the next step.
We beat the absolute dogshit out of them last year and we'll do it again. I can't believe it, but this is the first time (ever) that I am not even worried about playing @ Florida and @ Auburn.

Also, you have a first-year starter at QB. He will make mistakes, maybe even one that will cost you a game.
Honestly, I don't even think we'll be in that position. We can just run the ball every play with our 5 deep running back rotation and play solid defense and still beat these teams soundly.
The only thing that worries me is Mettenberger getting injured (knocking on wood).

In all honesty, I would be shocked if LSU didn't win the National Championship this upcoming season.
Are you also shocked when you flip a coin and it lands on heads?

MSU.
Yall were never really a threat to score.

Maybe you're just that confident, but this is the SEC. Who knows what will happen. I think you would have all sorts of fits with Carolina in the SEC CG had they made it and Lattimore had been healthy.

From what he says, we may as well just hang it up. No one can stop LSU's five-deep RB rotation.

Well, Alabama is the only one that scares me. That being said, we get them at home. I think we'll be a better team than last year and I don't think they'll be as good.
The whole Petrino/Arkansas situation took a load off.

Georgia and South Carolina are good bets.
Big payoff, and you are pretty much assured that one of those two will win the East and a good chance at the East winner being within one SECCG victory of making the BCSCG.
$100 on Georgia/USCe/Bama/LSU...if LSU or Bama win it, you basically break even. If Georgia or USC win it, you hit big. If a non-SEC team wins it, you lose it all.

Exactly. So when someone says "I will be shocked if LSU doesn't win it all" I just can't help but laugh. Even with the best team in the nation you need luck to win it all. AND you have a green QB who hasn't done shite.
Playing Devil's advocate, LSU were laughing at us when we had green quarterbacks to start off the season. They ended up winning nattys. Not saying that is not a legit concern, but anyone that disregards them b/c of a green quarterback is foolish, IMHO.
I don't pretend to know who will win it all, but LSU have the pieces to, but you need luck to win it all.
USC's offense scares me, but their defense does not.

We steam rolled the SEC schedule save the bama games with a terrible QB. Believe what you want, but we went 13-0 led half the time by JJ and neither threw for 200+ yards more than once each.

How the frick does Mizzou have better odds than ATM?
Oh yeah, the East.

Too many ifs in that statement.
I think the SEC Championship will be between LSU and Bama yet again, shocker there I know.
I think LSUs defense will be the best in the country and just don't know enough about their offense to know other than their running backs.
How does their O-line look? How many starters are returning? Still the biggest question mark with LSU is Miles. It hasn't been all that long ago that the fans were calling for his head and it might not be that long again for that to happen.

I agree 100%. They are the favorites to win it all no doubt. I just can't fathom how someone can say "shocked" if LSU doesn't win". This is the SEC, we are full of great football teams.
