At this point, I am only saying that there are Facebook posts from this guy's family that indicate an incident happened last night after the LSU-West Virginia game.
I do not know whether they are true or not - do not know why someone would start spreading something such as this, but there are Facebook posts that indicate:
1. An incident happened last night that resulted in hospitalization.
2. There is a surgery scheduled for the morning.
Now, as passionate of fan bases as exist at LSU and West Virginia, I think this will be confirmed or the guy will be called out as a complete liar within a couple of days.

Good call. Didn't think about that one. Obvious detail overlooked.
Is it so far fetched that EMTs responded and he was stable, so they asked his wife where she wanted them to take him? I'm sure they didn't drive 75 miles without a windshield.

I don't see anything on the wall that was linked earlier in the thread. Just recent activity of friends being added and no messages...?

It seems to me that the only way this story isn't true, is if it is some elaborate plan by MM, his family, and friends for the sole purpose of making WVU look bad.
But it basically ruins his reputation as a person if it is b.s.

And a great answer.

Someone should take the information we have over to the OT. I'm sure someone can dig up some information over there. I honestly think this is moving towards more being true than not but I'm waitng to pass judgement.
If true, this is terrible. If not, this rumor is a terrible one to start.

Can you see his wall?
I just looked at Marcus Mason's wall. Some of the get well wishes are from people that I knew growing up including the younger sister of a friend that lived down the street.

Would it be too much to ask that you send a screenshot to myshkin99@gmail.com?
Or would you see that as a violation of his privacy?
Of course you realize, that if this story is true, he won't have much privacy regardless. This shite will go public fast.

Did ESPN have some agenda for the Giants/Dodgers fight?
Mentioning how a media outlet reported an indecent isn't your best argument of the night.

Well, now you've got me doubting it.
Here's the deal. There was a big e-mail that went out regarding it. That's why it is posted several places with different usernames. I only posted here under the assumption that TigerDroppings would confirm or deny it. It seems that can't be done, at least tonight.
No idea where the assault happened. I know the guy from way back. I'll tell you this about him - if a rock hit his windshield, he probably said some things that prompted it. That is him in the mugshot from Destin.

It was in response to wondering why his family and friends were spreading the story.
Why does any news story about someone being attacked get spread? Because it is a big deal, and it is news.
This shite happened less than a day ago and it is already coming out.

He had a fractured skull and broken orbital lobe (supposedly). No EMT in his right mind would have sent a man with severe head injuries to a hospital over a hours drive over one that is less than a mile away. Come on guys, COMMON SENSE HERE.

I don't have any proof the incident not happening either. He very well could have gotten a beating.
My only point was that with saying it happened in M-town and then people reporting that there was no police report in M-town and that it made no sense to drive to Pittsburgh with a hospital right there.
Just wondering if there are more facts to this case. Maybe it happened in Pitt after the game, maybe it was a wreck that happened, hence no assault charges.
Really don't know, but the story seems pretty far out there for no LSU fans to have seen it and to make it 24 hours away only to be posted on a MS ST board.
