I think his point is that Iran is gambling on the outcome of the midterms. Without a possible realignment in Washington, they likely would have conceded already. Once hope is lost in November so wll thier resolve

We knew they would attempt to disrupt shipping. We knew they would probably launch strikes against their neighbors. We knew that striking so many targets with missles and bombs would begin to deplete inventory. These aren't exactly earth shattering insights lol

I actually have no issue with this. Far too long countries that rely on our protection and support for their very existence provide the US with zero reciprocation when they need it. No more free rides.

All the retrieval operations are handled by NEST teams. There is a certain type of classification they are allowed to use for their operations that shield them from oversight. They then engage with military contractors and thats how everything ultimately gets buried. There is likely a shadow Goverment within the IC that helps coordinate but a lot of operational stuff is carried out under the DoE banner to take advantage of policies enacted since the cold war.

Bill Clinton pivoted in order to win re-election. He essentially took credit for all the republican legislative initiatives that were part of the "Contract with America" after the 94 wave took the House. 40 years of Democrat reign gone and a party in panic. He saw the train coming and he didn't want to get run over.

This at a time Dems basically had a monopoly on information, from print to news and entertainment. The only counter voices were an AM radio show and a new cable start up. Media were much more affective in shaping perception into reality. Thats how a politician who railed against a legislative agenda turns around and has the gall to take credit for its success......and gets away with it.

How about cheating and foreign influence in every modern election with Republicans winning only because they were underestimated (see 2016) or they mustered unprecedented turnout making their lead too big to rig.

So you end up either enforcing this on the front end by capping birth rates and immigration, which will dramatically affect your ability to support social welfare especially for the elderly....or you enforce it on the backend by limiting the type of medical care you give to the elderly. "maybe we give them a pain pill instead of treatment". Either choice will inevitably lead to the same result unless they start curbing social welfare programs and encouraging, promoting, increasing birth rates by rewarding traditional family structures.
