SEC stocks - Buy, Sell, or Hold

Bama - hold - good blue chip dividend stock that is a solid investment. It's at the top of it's value so there's not much upside but the dividend pays well.
UGA - Buy - they are Amazon a decade back. High upside with an a-hole for a CEO, but a solid business model that has been underperforming for so long that it's bound to upswing after showing a solid earnings report last year.
Auburn - Hold - been an asset with wild fluctuations and could go up or down based on some key acquisitions. Seems to have stabilized and be on solid footing, but only next season will tell.
LSU - Sell - Curious hire as CEO. Performed fairly well overall but had some inexplicable losses due to some boneheaded decisions. Human capital losses are too much to recommend. Might be time sell this one off.
Texas A&M - Buy - Historically poor performer. Many investors as bemused by this because of the natural resources at their disposal...well capitalized, low debt-to-income ratio, but new CEO is had success at other stops and appears to have an eye for c-level talent.
Florida - bigtime Buy - Been some tough years of late, but this is a bargain at the current price. New executive team comes from a mid-tier company that performed very well in a tough marketplace.
Tennessee - Buy - not going to pay huge divendends in the short-term,but it's basically been resigned to a penny stock at this point. Can't go anywhere but up, and has a long shot and being a very shrewd move.
South Carolina - Buy - Feeling Bullish on Cock. Not going to be a bluechipper but it's going to be a solid mid-cap with some nice returns in the last year. CEO is a bit of a hothead, but has learned his lesson from stumbling at a blue chip company some years back.
Miss St. - Hold - New CEO takes over for solid performer who left the books in good shape and lots of infrastructure improvements, but its a brutal market they are in.
Ole Miss- moderate Buy - another one that's been relegated to penny stock that's been bled dry, delisted off the major exchange, but the company has rallied and while it may take a while to weather the sell-off, a dollar cost averaging strategy may be a good play here.
Kentucky - Sell - Other divisions are performing well, but this one just doesn't seem to have what it takes to deliver long term. Sell it, take the money and buy some bourbon.
Arkansas - Solid Buy - Dynamic new CEO takes over with inroads into new recruiting territory. Former CEO squandered opportunity and spent entirely too much time in the company commissary.
Mizzou - who frickin knows - I'd rather play the ponies than to wager on this stock.
Vandy- Buy and Hold - The value is not in the stock, but rather in the invitation you get to the stockholders meeting.

How did you determine which stocks you already had to "hold" them and which stock you didn't to "buy" them?
But from what I can deduce, you're advising to buy UGA when they're already high, you're advising only to sell 2 stocks out of 14 teams and advising to buy 8.
If you want to do this realistically, you buy Ole Miss, State, Florida, Tennessee and A&M now. They all have new coaches so their value should be relatively low. You could also buy LSU because Orgeron prob lowered the value of LSU's stock the day he was hired. But there is potential for gains on all of those.
There honestly wouldn't be many stocks I'd sell right now except maybe UGA and Auburn. I expect UGA to take a step back next year before taking a step forward the following year.

Sell high buy low. You wouldn't buy Bama stock now..pointless. Can't go higher really. If anything sell and get out before Saban leaves.
Sell LSU
Buy Florida and Tenn just because they have to go up
Sell Georgia this year at a market high, then buy again at end of next year expecting some rebuilding. Sell high, buy lower.

These teams all play each other so for every buy there is a sell.
Buy: UF, MSU, Arkansas
Sell: SC, LSU, A&M
Hold the rest.

It's a safe investment right now, and pays an excellent dividend. It's an excellent hedge against some of the riskier buys noted in the post.
It's the same reason I hold XOM, SO, and F in my portfolio to hedge against some of my shadier positions.

I'd only buy UF and aTm at this point. To me the risk with Ark is still too great. To me UGA is too high at this point to take on that risk.
Hard sell on LSU, OM, Misery, and Kentucky at very least.
I'd probably hold everything else at this point.

Why would you sell OM, Missouri, and Kentucky at a point when they're at their lowest?
OM would be a good buy and then hold for a couple years. Would be cheap given they're on probation. Missouri would also be a decent buy. Returning Lock, East still sucks, so they could produce enough gains to warrant a cheap buy and then sell at the end of the season. Kentucky I'd just pass on completely or hold if I already had them. LSU wouldn't be a good sell. The stock would have potential and you're not going to get a good rate right now if you already had it because if you bought LSU stock in the past 17 years you bought it much higher than it's valued at currently.

I think Florida will continue to struggle. Unless Florida has a legendary coach, they've proven to be a very average program.
PreSpurrier- Struggled
Spurrier- Dominated
Zook- Struggled
Meyer- Dominated
Muschamp- Struggled
McElwain- Struggled
Is Mullen of the same lot as Spurrier and Meyer? I don't think so. He was something like 3-30 against ranked opponents at Mississippi State. His numbers were inflated because he consistently played the easiest schedule in the SEC.
Will Florida reach the Top 25 with Mullen? Most likely. Will they compete for SEC Titles on an annual basis? Don't hold your breath.
This is McElwain Part 2 only with a better offense.
