I feel like the Ags got off easy and our loss faded into the background.

I also think they held back because the episode two weeks ago was almost entirely A&M-centric.

I hope LSU fans paid very close attention beginning around the 4:30 mark.

To be fair, it probably won't happen to them.

Infinitely more likely he exits NFL or is fired than leaves for another college job.

I think Dietzel was the only LSU coach to do that, and that’s back when people still cared about Army football.

The leaving for the other job because it would be a good gig where he thinks he could win at a high level like Ole Miss (not to Ole Miss, just a school like that) because he feels the heat of getting fired.

in other words: you mostly would be happy that he left. You were doubting if he was the answer any way. Maybe like you would've felt if Les Miles went to Michigan in 2016 or something like that. You would be tiring of him but not to the level of firing him.

There is a serious echo chamber going on right now on the rant and coaching changes board.

That is a possible scenario, but I think most rational people think Lane won’t have any trouble getting LSU in a 12 team playoff most years.

He would have to crap the bed for LSU fans to tire of him after enduring latter day Miles into Orgeron into Kelly.

Lane is going to have so much good will from LSU fans going in — over just 4 years Kelly gave us both the statistically worst offense and defense in school history.

He has got a bit of built in cushion for years 1 & 2, we are beyond tired of seeing our teams outschemed vs every major opponent.

Obviously, there's a big piece of the pie that he's a real success.

But just getting to the 12 team playoff won't cut it after a few years.

Miles would've gotten to a few 12 team playoffs.

Lane will need to win the conference in his first few years or make a couple semi runs in the playoffs or win the whole thing or there will be some unrest. Just the way things are these days.

It's almost funny. McClendon didn't even win a national title. Retired on his own terms and Orgeron and Miles won a higher pct. of games than he did. The only three fanbases that I would say are completely behind their current coaches that have coached there for two years or more are UGA, A&M and Vandy. Maybe OU, but there's still some doubt with Venables and the offensive struggles that rise up with a loss. DeBoer will need to win a national title before he's fully accepted.

Les stayed for more than a decade, but he also won a national title in his third year and won another SEC title four years later and played in the championship game. That will buy you some time. Those things aren't easy to do though.

Cholly Mac was forced out. They gave him a year while they looked for another coach but make no mistake, he was forced out.

Outside looking in, I get where you’re coming from. CEO legit had a quarter life crisis & completely abandoned his post in offseason following his natty.

Miles drove LSU fans insane by torturing us with a one dimensional offense that was never good enough to brute force its way through teams that could man up with our horses, for several seasons we got to 10 wins playing rugby.

Les’ offenses after Lee/Jefferson championship fiasco were not significantly better than this year & he was given more chances than he deserved to make a change.

He really believed we would just start running through Bama one day if we kept trying. This fanbase can tolerate losing, it doesn’t tolerate stupidity and abject failure (past achievements aren’t license to torpedo the future).
