That alone should have been a red flag.
I am firmly convinced that DeLoss Dodds did far more damage to Texas over his tenure than he will ever have to answer for. He was AD when I was there in the early 90’s, and I thought he was an asshat then. He only got worse.
Massive resources (including compared to A&M), but little to show for it.
Grew the money, for sure, but mostly underperformed in on-field performance and crapped the bed in national image.

Outside of people who are 65+, all of the best runs for our big 3 sports happened under Deloss.

You’d have to be about 65 to have been on campus before he was made AD in 1981, so...

We went all in on revenue and he was definitely arrogant and egotistical and it permeated out of him.
I have met CDC, maybe behind closed doors he is different but he seems the polar opposite of DeLoss Dodds.
