Petrino had been with that woman for over a year. It’s not possible to keep that a secret from others in the program.

You're speculating, that's a far cry from proof. You can't provide one singe link to back up your claim.

The other part of your post is true, he did violate guidelines, and she was not qualified for the job. Hence, he was fired. HR may or may not have known at the time she was hired, but there's no evidence of that, one can only speculate - which is what you're doing.

The practice was continued while EMS worked on the kid to keep the players from gawking and getting in the way.

Wow...so it was a good thing then that they continued practice. Never thought of that spin. The indoor facility - where they should have been to begin with was available ... To keep the gawking and interference to a minimum...

As they interviewed people in the football office, they quickly realized the affair was a poorly kept secret, but no one had reported it to the administration. Petrino had made a habit of sending gifts from his office to hers, most notably Hot Tamale candies, according to interview notes from the investigation. Fellow employees thought it was odd the 25-year-old, who was earning $55,375 annually, could afford a brand-new Acura. The investigation revealed Dorrell had purchased the vehicle with a $20,000 Christmas gift from Petrino. Dorrell had stored it under her mattress until she purchased the vehicle.

Poorly kept secret that had been happening for over a year. Violated HR policies to hire her which staff other than football would’ve caught but knew not to flag. Coworkers thought the car she bought was odd but we’re to expect her fiancé didn’t think anything of it? He was also a UA employee at the time.

AD Jeff Long knew of the affair but ignored it.

I think Kirby should be a lot higher

If Kirby is a scumbag then Nick Saban employed a scumbag for a long long time. But I'm sure Nick is beyond reproach.

I don't think everyone knew except maybe the higher ups or individuals like Jeff Long did know about it.

Petrino did a good job keeping it a secret though.

It should be very suspicious of a married man hanging around with a much younger woman to all these razorback events.

Exactly...it isn't like she defended Baylor in a sexual assault scandal. When asked about the sexual assaults on campus..."This is a great institution. The problems that we have at Baylor are no different than the problems at any other school in America. Period. Move on. Find another story to write...If somebody's around you, and they ever say, 'I will never send my daughter to Baylor,' you knock them right in the face,"
