Some UK posters a week of so ago seemed to think they had as good of a shot as LSU, Arkansas, and others.
Yesterday, UK settled for a lesser QB in their class with Patrick Towles. Has UK already thrown in the towel in the Pike sweepstakes?
Pike is at the UofA this weekend taking in our first spring scrimmage of the year

We will have 3 Scholarship QB's after this year. Looks like we will add Alford to that list soon, but he is probably going MLB route
That said I think purdue is a team to watch out for here.

UK just got a commitment from another Ky QB, Towles? Pike probably wasn't coming here.

Auburn or Arkansas IMO. He has already visited us once and is coming back for A Day. I would normally think Arkansas would have the inside track with Petrino's connections from UL and his reputation for developing pro style qb's but Petrino's winning personality and the fact Pike isn't a 3 star makes me think we have just as good of chance as they do.
FTR last I heard he was visiting 5 SEC schools this spring. AU, Ark, LSU, UT and UGA.

I never said Pike was "probably" coming to UK. I simply said there wasn't much reason to believe he'd pick Arkansas over UK or any of the other schools he was/is looking at. Now there may be. Arky fans pointed to some quote that didn't make much sense or have any facts to back it up. That's all.

Hopefully it works into our favor that we have no known big time replacement for Wilson. We don't have any blue chippers waiting to replace him.

Yea, if they were going against the first team.
This was against 2nd and 3rd team.
But we all know LSU 3rd team would be the best defense in the nation.
