My dad lives off Skyland in Tuscaloosa right next to where it hit. The tornado literally went between both of us. It sounded like it was about to hit zaxbys, but we got lucky. My dad did too.

I still have no power. Drinking a Newcastle, listening to some tunes off of my phone. Still pretty dumbfounded about what I saw today.

Here!

Another Vestavia/Cahaba Heights ranter. For all of y'all that think straight line winds did this damage over here, you're crazy.

Sorry I haven't checked in until now. Power out. Internet out. Cellular service has been sketchy. Everyone here is ok. House didn't get hit, but we lost 4 trees that somehow missed me and my neighbor's house. Other neighbors not so lucky. I've been running a chainsaw since Weds and will probably be running one for the next week.

Cahaba Heights Elementary will be finishing the school year at Liberty Park. We are supposed to have a meeting at the school today.

Wow, you were fortunate. Glad everything was okay and it's great that you are able to lend a hand to your neighbors in need.

I think Memphis has already spoken for me, but I just wanted to check in. No power at home, but power and internet at work in Florence.

Is Cahaba Heights as bad as I've heard? You can't get in or out to see, but I've been told all roads are still closed.

Glad you and the family are ok.

It's not Tuscaloosa or Pleasant Grove bad, but it's bad. Most of the damage is falling trees. Shopping center where Yankee's Pizza is had part of the roof torn off. Do not try to drive over here! Overton Rd is open, but not Pumphouse or Dolly Ridge. No fatalities that I've heard. Like I said earlier, my youngest will have to finish the school year at another school due to storm damage.

Back to the chainsaw!

Here is the video footage I shot yesterday with my phone while riding through a neighborhood close my buddies house. We went to help him clean and box up some stuff and then rode down a street out in the Alberta City area off of University Blvd.

Back home in Dega now... Love to see the help we are giving help to UA. I was in Burke when it touched, rough stuff. All but one friend were unharmed, and he has scratches and no house now.

Here is my second video of storm damage in Tuscaloosa. I was riding in the back of my buddies F-250 sitting on the toolbox while we drove through the neighborhood to our co-workers house so please pardon the wind sound.

I'm good in Springville. I rode the storm out with chase8992. My brother was in his room at Rose Tower when it hit and has some pics and video I will post in the other thread. Glad everyone is ok.
